OVERVIEW

Miss Delight is presumably one of the Bigger Bodies experiment who works as a teacher within the School of Playcare. After being locked in the school after The Hour of Joy, she slowly descended into madness and hunger. Miss Delight made a weapon out of school items (rulers, colored pencils, twines) that she named Barb, even viewing it as if it was a real person.

APPEARANCE

Miss Delight has shimmering golden hair with a crimson bow tie perched atop of her head. She wears a torn crimson skirt adorned with playful polka dots and a vibrant tri-color shirt of blue, red, and yellow with an apple symbol on it. A crimson tie can be seen accentuating her office shirt. Her once smiling grin is now completely broken, exposing the flesh and teeth underneath. Her current outfit has part of her shirt is torn and dirty (Likely during The Hour Of Joy) Her shoes are encased in a pair of crimson hues, and having intricate blue embroidery on them. Her body is made up of several segments on different joints, resembling that of a ball-jointed doll. She wields a mace she's named "Barb" made out of sharpened pencils and pens, and tightly compacted by twine and a ruler as a grip. On the cardboard cutout, her appearance is mostly the same with her smiling grin now being on her face.

PERSONALITY

Based on her cutout and intercom message, Miss Delight is a very kind and gentle teacher, who speaks in a sweet voice. However, after The Hour of Joy, she starts to descend into madness. Her notes and audio logs demonstrate how she slowly became murderously insane, forming a makeshift weapon from paranoia and calling it Barb, even considering it as an actual living person later on. According to the notes, she was left with starvation after being locked within the school for so long that she started to cannibalize on the rest of the teachers/her sisters. According to one VHS tape, had CatNap not hidden the surviving children of the Playcare and kept them away from Miss Delight, she would've killed them all as well.

BACKSTORY/HISTORY

Miss Delight was one of at least 8 identical constructs who viewed each other as sisters, serving as teachers for the Playcare. Following The Hour of Joy, they were locked within the school by CatNap. Miss Delight believed she heard something on the other side of the door breathing leading her to create her signature weapon that she named "Barb" in case anything came through. Sometime afterwards, her sisters cut her off from food, presumably due to harvesting food. As time went on, she slowly went insane and started to consider her weapon Barb as an actual person, "Barb" eventually taught Miss Delight that if she stopped moving and stand very still, the others will assume that she is dead and she relies on this tactic to ambush the other teachers when they wanted to "cannibalize" her. Miss Delight kills them off and consumed them to wear off her hunger. Sometime later, she found the door unlocked and discovered CatNap whom she surmised was the one who locked the door. The two entered into a form of truce afterward both relaying what they see to each other and The Prototype.

TRIVIA

Miss Delight's movement mechanic might be inspired by the Weeping Angels from the Doctor Who franchise, SCP-173 from SCP Containment Breach and Gold Watcher from Dark Deception, and the Fallen from TJoC:SM In the pre-release version given to content creators, Miss Delight would only move when the lights were off and freeze when the lights flickered back on. It is unknown why this was changed. She seems to be a reference to the real-life Barbie Doll. Her weapon is called "Barb", which could be a possible reference to the Barbie doll as well, due to it being a shortened version of that name. However, it might also be because of its barbed appearance
