Information

Diavolo (ディアボロ, Diaboro?) is the main antagonist of Vento Aureo. As the discoverer of the Arrows, he is responsible for the recent proliferation of Stand Users in the world. Living an extremely secretive life as someone who seeks to remain underground, he is the top leader of the organized crime syndicate called Passione, which corrupts the world. to Italy with drug trafficking on the streets, making him Giorno and Bruno's greatest and superior enemy. Due to his obsession with hiding his identity, virtually no one knows his past or his real appearance. He is also Trish's father, and he orders the Bucciarati Gang to bring her to his presence while keeping her safe from La Squadra di Esecuzione, a group specialized in assassinations that betrayed the organization. This whole plan was intended to eliminate not only the traitors but also to kill their own daughter due to the connection between the two. This cowardly act is what gives the excuse perfect for Bucciarati and his companions to betray the organization. He secretly has an alternate personality, and is a Stand user who wields the incredibly powerful King Crimson.

King Crimson: King Crimson is Diavolo's Stand, possessing, like the vast majority of Stands, a physical build similar to that of its user. As far as the physical section is concerned, King Crimson was easily able to defeat Silver Chariot and then proceed to almost kill Polnareff, apart from not having allowed Silver Chariot to even react to one of his attacks, due to being a short-range Stand, it can only attack within a range of 2 meters, being one of its weaknesses although it is compensated thanks to the abilities it possesses. Time Erase: King Crimson's main ability is to erase 10 seconds of time, erasing space as well, leaving nothing but a timeless void in which the only one capable of moving and being aware of it is Diavolo himself. When time is erased, the actions that people have been performing are also erased, being able to describe as going from A to C without going through B, being unable to remember how they got to that moment, since said course of actions was erased, due to this, it can be said that Diavolo when erasing time is also eliminating the cause of an event but leaving the effect of it. While time remains erased, Diavolo is perfectly capable of avoiding any damage he could receive, however, Diavolo is unable to interact with objects while he remains in the erased time, although in certain situations, Diavolo can throw things such as his own blood at his enemies. This ability being used by someone like Diavolo, in conjunction with King Crimson's second ability, makes Diavolo a highly difficult opponent to defeat.

Epitaph: King Crimson's secondary ability manifested in the form of a sub-Stand on King Crimson's forehead. Epitaph allows both Doppio and Diavolo the ability to see 10 seconds into the future, said vision being something completely unalterable and therefore destined to occur, this playing somewhat against Diavolo since he is unable to alter Epitaph's prediction unless he erases time, however, he is still able to prepare and avoid taking as much damage as possible, it should be mentioned that Epitaph only shows the final result, but does not show the process, due to this Epitaph's visions can be left to interpretation. Dual Personality: Diavolo's special feature is summed up in that he has a dual personality, an alter ego named Vinegar Doppio, which Diavolo allows to operate by making Doppio believe that he is a completely independent person and Diavolo's right-hand man. Diavolo is able to communicate with Doppio if he uses any object such as a telephone, in this way Diavolo is able to transmit orders to Doppio as well as give him the correct course of his actions, in addition to this, Diavolo is able to grant Doppio the ability to use both King Crimson's arms and Epitaph, without having access to King Crimson's full power. If Diavolo wishes, he can take control of the body even if Doppio is in control of it, however, this comes with the disadvantage of requiring 10 seconds to achieve. History (1)

Diavolo was born in a women's prison after spending two years in his mother's womb, being raised by the priest of his mother's hometown, in that same place Diavolo adopting the nickname Solido Naso would meet Donatella Una, Trish Una's mother. Some time after that, Diavolo after faking his death in a fire that destroyed the town where he lived, would join Egypt in an excavation, in it, Diavolo would come across the Stand-creating arrows, learning how they worked thanks to the old woman Enya, creating with them the criminal group known as Passione and also being responsible for the creation of a multitude of Stand users throughout the world. In the 90s, Diavolo and Passione would be investigated by Jean Pierre Polnareff who shared the task of investigating the arrows with Jotaro Kujo. Upon learning of this, Diavolo would fight Polnareff, leaving him in a terrible state, but not dead, a mistake that would cost Diavolo dearly later on. In 2001, Diavolo would entrust Bruno Bucciarati with the mission of protecting and delivering his daughter Trish Una to him, in order to kill her himself, as Diavolo wants to get rid of everything that is related to his past. At the moment he was about to kill Trish, Diavolo would be betrayed by Bucciarati, who along with the rest of his team except for Pannacotta Fugo had fled, forcing Diavolo to call his elite guard to eliminate them, which in the end did not work out.

With no other choice and knowing where Bucciarati's group was headed, Diavolo made an appearance in the Rome Coliseum in front of Polnareff, leaving the latter with no other option but to use the arrow on his Silver Chariot, causing it to evolve into Silver Chariot Requiem, putting the entire city of Rome to sleep, including Diavolo, who along with the rest upon awakening saw his soul being exchanged, it is at this moment that it is revealed that Vinegar Doppio, a character previously introduced as the boss's right hand man, was actually a second personality of the same. After a long fight, Diavolo would finally manage to get hold of the arrow after it had found Chariot Requiem's ​​weakness, however the arrow would be snatched from him and given to Giorno Giovanna, who would use it to defeat Diavolo after his Stand had evolved, causing Diavolo to be trapped in an infinite loop of death for all eternity.

Appearance (1)

In his first appearance, cloaked in seemingly endless shadows, Diavolo has a more organized hairstyle, with his hair slicked back evenly and is dressed in a suit and tie and a shirt embroidered with a grid similar to that of his Stand. When his appearance is finally revealed, Diavolo is a tall, gaunt-looking man of about 33 years of age with a semi-muscular build and physique, and his lips are painted black (purple in the anime series). He has long, leopard-like pink hair with either black, green, or violet spots depending on the media, which he keeps combed and parted in a zig-zag pattern; the strands of his hair fall in a vertical spike and are parted slightly to the side. The rest of his hair falls straight down to his shoulders. How much hair he has often varies depending on the media he is portrayed in, being inconsistent. His shirt, hidden under Doppio's jersey, is black and appears to be made of woven mesh: it covers his shoulders and torso, but on his back and abdomen there are interlocking circles in a line that are folded under his belt, which in the back end into two~three long "tails". On his biceps he appears to have several spiral flower motifs inked in long black lines that extend all the way to his wrists, but according to the last episode where he appears, the apparent tattoos are literally the sleeves of his shirt, but in the anime series it is clarified that they are actually tattoos. He also wears a pair of bracelets and shares the same brown pants and loafers without socks as Doppio.

Appearance (2)

His eyes are unique: his irises are "fragmented", forming several spots with a triangular-shaped highlight. However, while Bucciarati is in control of his body, they become normal with circular highlights. When he changes appearance with his alter ego, his physique is slightly altered and in almost all of his appearances, he maintains a hunched posture. This is because as he and Doppio are two different souls, their musculature is varied.

King Crimson's appearance

King Crimson has a humanoid appearance, similar in build to Diavolo, but slightly surpassing him in terms of musculature and size. The skin of his body is covered by a diagonal grid, except for his face, neck, shoulders, elbows, groin, knees and feet. His eyes comprise sharp holes with a steep inward angle; from which emerge small, round eyes without sclera, fish-like / amphibian / reptilian in appearance. Looking at his eyes more closely, these, like those of his wearer, have their iris fragmented into several reflections. He usually constantly shows his teeth through a small mouth and his cranial crown is flat. The sub-stand is situated above King Crimson's forehead on a pink surface duplicated in the same position on either Diavolo's or Doppio's foreheads, emulating King Crimson's furious expression as he grits his teeth and scowls. Epitaph creates images within its user's hair, and as such, whenever activated, either Doppio's bangs or Diavolo's hair will shoot forward and float, allowing the user to look at a screen predicting what they believe will happen in the future. King Crimson's design is inspired by George/Kuato, a character from the 1990 film Total Recall, who had a second face on his chest.[3] In all of his appearances, King Crimson's body has a varied color depending on the audiovisual medium where he appears; he usually appears in reddish tones on his skin, his grille is usually white or yellow, and his metal parts are usually painted white or silver.

King Crimson's Personality

While King Crimson does not possess a visible personality or consciousness of his own, Diavolo has been seen to communicate with his interlocutors through his Stand, giving him an additional air of anonymity. Despite this, King Crimson is almost always shown with an angry expression as he bares his teeth by opening his mouth. In some scenes of the animated adaptation, the Stand smiles when Diavolo speaks through it or when its bearer achieves a particular goal that favors him, such as taking possession of the Arrow.
