Jiraiya

Jiraiya (自来也, Jiraiya) was one of the legendary Sannin along with Tsunade and Orochimaru, who were trained by the Third Hokage. He wrote a popular series of books for adults, called ICHA ICHA, for this and among many other reasons, Naruto calls him Perverted Sage (エロ仙人, Ero-sennin). He was also known as the Toad Sage (虾蟇仙人, Gama Sennin), thanks to his summonings of toads and the ability to enter Sage Mode.

As a child, Jiraiya was a student of the Third Hokage along with his classmates Orochimaru and Tsunade. During childhood, he developed a friendly rivalry with Orochimaru and felt affection towards his partner Tsunade. Because he was the clumsy one of the group, he trained very hard, to the point that Hiruzen showed him the Summoning Technique so he could learn how to use it. After a while, he was teleported to Mount Myōboku for using this technique without having any contract with an animal. When he arrived at that place, Fukasaku decided to train him because he recognized him as "the boy who would have to reach the mountain" according to a prophecy of the Great Toad Sage. Thus, he alternated training in Konoha with the Third Hokage, and after his missions he would go to Mount Myōboku to train with the toads.

Over the years, he became a great shinobi. The Great Toad Sage expressed a vision about his destiny, according to which he would travel the world writing books and train a person who would become a revolutionary who would bring peace, or else, bring pain and suffering to the world, as well as that at some point moment in his life he would make a big decision. To fulfill this prophecy, Jiraiya left Konoha to travel the world and write his books.

When Jiraiya returned from his trip, he trained Minato Namikaze (future Fourth Hokage) and participated in the Second Shinobi World War, where together with his companions and several Konoha ninjas, they attacked Amegakure, resulting in his team being the only survivors of the fight against Hanzō. of the Salamander. For this great feat, the leader of Amegakure decided to let them live and name them after the legendary Sannin, thus gaining worldwide renown.
