the user is the one who leads everyone to the correct answer in the trial. before each murder there is a motive that entices someone to kill someone else. if the killer is caught in the class trial then they alone are executed, but if the group gets it wrong, then everyone except the killer is executed and the killer gets to leave. in the final trial, the surviving group must deduce who the mastermind of the killing game is.

executions

the executions are heavily based on the killer’s ultimate talent. as an example, Leon Kuwata’s execution in Danganronpa 1, Leon was the Ultimate Baseball Star, and his execution involved him being strapped to a baseball scoreboard and being pelted to death by baseballs. their executions are also meant to cause them the most despair possible, like Celeste’s. she wanted to die in a unique way, so it started by her being burned, but then at the last second, she was run over by a vehicle, a very common form of death, which was something she didn’t want.

ultimate labs

ultimate labs are related to certain character’s talents! there is one ultimate lab for each character. if a character dies before their ultimate lab is discovered, their ultimate lab will remain locked indefinitely.
