Appearance

Raphael is a Parisian with short red hair. He also has dark brown eyes and is fair skinned. While under the guise of Phantom R, Raphael wears a navy blue suit, navy blue slacks, a gray belt, a white collared shirt, and a red tie. He also has dark brown dress shoes and a navy blue fedora with a red band. While under the guise of Raphael, he sports a blue cardigan with a red accent, a white collared shirt with a light blue accent, gray pants, and navy blue and white sneakers. The collared shirt has three white buttons at the neck area while the cardigan has five white buttons; he keeps all of them buttoned up. Raphael also wears a pair of round glasses.

Personality

Raphael is very clever. He doesn't give up easily in a difficult situation. He's kind with his friends and especially with Marie. He's dexterous and full of determination. Moreover, he possesses a strong sense of justice.

Other

While talking with Bernard in Chapter 1, Raphael claims to have perfect pitch. Raphael got his unique sense of rhythm from his mother, as she was a ballet dancer. When Raphael was young, she died in a car accident. Phantom R's red, white, and blue color scheme is similar to that of the French flag. Raphael's name in the Japanese version of the game is 'Ralph'. There may be significance to the name 'Ralph', being a variation of the name 'Raoul', which was the given name of the original Arsene Lupin character by Maurice Leblanc. Arsene Lupin is one of the original influences of the gentleman thief / phantom thief trope. There are two similarities to other characters. Raphael has a striking resemblance to Kiyama Hiroto from Inazuma Eleven. Phantom R is similar to Shotaro Hidari from Kamen Rider W.

Description

I am Phantom R I'm a famous Art thief of Paris I steal art with a special symbol that is my only key to finding my father. With life trusty dog companion Fondue. I'm still a teenager age 18 I go by Raphael by day. But at night I become Phantom R. Charlie or should I say Charlotte has been after me for a few years she's the same age as me. She also works for the police but helps me from time to time. She uses soccer balls as a weapon if I'm are not careful. She can also be a little stubborn.
