He is the son of Laufey, the king of the Frost Giants, and was abandoned shortly after his birth. The king of Asgard, Odin, found Loki and raised him along with his biological son Thor. Loki is also known by his adopted name, Loki Odinson, and by his title of God of Lies. In the Norse tradition, men's surnames are formed with the father's name plus the suffix "son" (son). Loki is played by Tom Hiddleston. In the MCU, Bucky Barnes is a former soldier of the 107th Infantry Regiment and the best friend of Steven Rogers. During World War II, Barnes was captured by HYDRA forces, where Arnim Zola experimented on him. Barnes was later rescued by Rogers. Barnes is a master assassin, possibly the deadliest in the Marvel Universe. After being reformed by his friends, he now fights alongside the Avengers.
