Temutai is shown to be tough, proud, and short-tempered. Though he's not easy to fool, he's very willing to challenge others and prove his might, especially if he thinks he can win a worthy trophy by doing so. Temutai shows no mercy, but recognizes when he has been defeated.

Earlier years

Temutai's legend is renowned throughout the Valley of Peace. Temutai himself claimed that he had defeated kung fu masters from across the land. Additionally, Tigress mentioned that Temutai's kung fu was said to be so strong he could tear an opponent in half without even touching them, while Mantis had commented that he thought Temutai was just a myth. It is unknown how long he has had the position of king of the Qidan Clan, but another one of Temutai's remarks in the episode indicated that he has had at least one princess as a servant in the past. In exchange for peace, Princess Mei Li's people sent her to the Qidan Clan to become a lifelong servant to the Qidan king; but the princess was replaced every few years because none of them lasted very long.

Appearance

Temutai is a tall water buffalo that wears a red tunic, golden-brown pants, and a maroon sash.

Fighting style

Temutai is known widely for his kung fu skills as well as being a tough warrior. His hits and blows are quite powerful to launch a foe in the air. Some say that his kung fu is so strong that he could tear an opponent in half without even touching them. This revelation was proven in the episode, "The Princess and the Po", where Po had challenged him. Temutai was shown to be almost indestructible as Po unleashed some of his kung fu at him, with Temutai not even feeling a tickle. However, in later episodes, his indestructible skill seemingly goes and he can now receive and feel hits from his foes. Although he is a kung fu master, he is normally seen fighting like a wrestler, using his strength, horns, and size to his advantage.

Weakness

Temutai's slow weighty attacks give an advantage to warriors who specialize in speed and agility.

Relationship with Po

When Temutai first met Po, he showed immediate disbelief that he was the Dragon Warrior. But upon hearing Mantis and Tigress' confirm this, as well as hearing Po's wager to battle for Princess Mei Li, he accepted it nonetheless. Since his first defeat, he has constantly been trying to attack Po and his friends.
