Itachi Uchiha

Appearance

As a member of Akatsuki, he changed his appearance a bit; his hair had grown out and was tied back with a rubber band, forming a ponytail. His attire consisted of a dark gray shirt with details below the collar, pants of the same color and, finally, black boots on his feet and white ones up to his shins. On top of everything, he wore the Akatsuki robe, with red clouds and wore the Konohagakure forehead protector with a line between the village's symbol.

Personality

After becoming a renegade ninja, Itachi changed his personality completely, becoming a cold ninja and showing no mercy to anyone. He joined Akatsuki, a criminal organization known throughout the Shinobi World, whose goal was to capture all the Jinchūriki and extract their Tailed Beasts. Even though Itachi had become a renegade ninja, he still loved his brother and his village. The Nukenin spent entire days with his partner, Kisame, one could say that they created a relationship of "friendship". He never stopped protecting his little brother and Konohagakure. Even after joining Akatsuki, Itachi was happy to know that he was about to die, because deep down that was really what the Uchiha wanted most, so that Sasuke could return to Konoha as a hero.

History: childhood

As a child, Itachi was a prodigy of his clan, mastering to perfection any technique he tried to learn. He awakened the Sharingan when he was only 8 years old. The Dōjutsu had two tomoes. He asked his father to teach him some jutsu and, as tradition, Fugaku showed him the Fireball. Just by looking at it once, the boy learned the seals and even made a giant circle of flames, surprising his father. Itachi loved his brother, always taking care of him since he was a baby, living with him in his arms. When Sasuke grew up a little, he always asked his "brother" to teach him something, but the Uchiha always put his fingers on his forehead and said "another time".

History: Anbu

When he was only 10 years old, Itachi had already become a Chūnin, showing great skill and intelligence. When he turned 11, he was selected to join the Anbu and at 13, he had become captain of this organization, which was a team of skilled ninjas whose objective was to carry out top secret and very difficult missions. After the Kyūbi's attack on Konohagakure, the Uchiha clan became the main suspect, since the Bijū was being controlled by a Sharingan. So, Itachi was given the mission to investigate his own clan, concluding that they were planning a coup d'état. The Sandaime Hokage wanted to resolve this in conversation, but Danzō Shimura said that killing all the Uchihas would be the best option. The boy agreed to massacre his clan, as long as his brother stayed alive and did it alone.

Historic Site: Shishui Uchiha

Shisui was a spectacular ninja, known for having the most powerful Genjutsu among the Uchihas, capable of manipulating a person without them even knowing. The Uchiha lost his friend in the war and, upon seeing his companion's death, awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan. Some time later, he met Itachi and, consequently, they became best friends, but acted like brothers. Shisui taught the prodigy many things, from knowledge to skills. Over time, he began to watch over the Anbu captain, following orders from the Konoha police. One day, he and Danzō had a brief fight, where Shimura stole one of his Sharingan, the Uchiha used his ability to escape. Shisui met Itachi again near a waterfall and told him to keep his Dōjutsu so that Danzō would not get it. Then, he threw himself off the cliff, so that he would not use his body in the future, like an Edo Tensei, for example.

History: Akatsuki

Because Itachi carried out the Uchiha Clan Massacre, he became a fugitive deserter, thus joining a criminal organization. During his time in Akatsuki, the Uchiha was partnered with Jūzo Biwa, however, on his first mission, which was to capture Yagura and extract Sanbi, that is, the Three-Tailed Bijū, the Konohagakure Nukenin's colleague ended up dying. Soon after this event, he began to have Kisame as his partner, where they carried out several missions, among them trying to capture Naruto Uzumaki. As soon as they arrived in Konoha, both Nukenins had a confrontation with Asuma and Kurenai. Yūhi tried to use a Genjutsu on Itachi, however, the Uchiha prodigy made the illusion turn against the kunoichi Jōnin. However, Kakashi arrived to support his colleagues, however, he was caught by the Uchiha's Tsukuyomi, where in less than a second he fell to the ground. After this, Kisame attempted to attack Hatake, but was intercepted by Guy's Dynamic Entry; Itachi and the swordsman opted to retreat. After finding Naruto's location, the duo went to where the Uzumaki was located, however, the protagonist was with Jiraiya, that is, the Legendary Sannin. So, they used a distraction so that the "Perverted Sage" would stay away from the Jinchūriki. When trying to catch the blond, Sasuke tried to attack Itachi, but was humiliated by his brother. However, Jiraiya arrived at the time and used the Toad Stomach on the spot, the Uchiha and Kisame then fled thanks to Itachi's Amaterasu. In Naruto Shippūden, Itachi was seen training with Kisame so that he could fight his younger brother, where both missing-nins showed their skills to each other. In childhood, the two had a very strong brotherly bond, Itachi loved Sasuke very much and vice versa, the Uchiha was willing to massacre his clan to ensure his brother's survival. Later, the youngest acquired a gigantic hatred for Itachi, and the only thing he wanted was to kill him and achieve his revenge. After a while, he returned to Konohagakure to capture the Kyūbi, but the Jinchūriki was not there. When the Nukenin finally found him, Sasuke had also found him and let his hatred go to his head, being easily defeated. Years later, they met again for a final fight between brothers, but Itachi's goal was not to kill his brother, but to remove Orochimaru's soul from the Cursed Seal and pass his abilities on to him. The confrontation showed a fragment of Itachi's power, as the missing-nin did not want to kill his younger brother. In the fight, it was shown that most of the time the advantage was in favor of the Akatsuki shinobi. Everything Sasuke tried to do, the defector always counterattacked, except in one instance, when he failed to dodge a fragment of a Fūma Shuriken, as Kisame's partner was suffering from an unknown illness. Itachi used Tsukuyomi on his poor brother and then stole his eyes, with the aim that he could get them again. The place of the fight was completely destroyed, that is, the Uchiha hideout. Sasuke showed to have a huge affection for the Raiton element, making the Chidori and even the Kirin. Itachi then showed his Susano'o to protect himself from the "lightning dragon" by the former apprentice of the Sannin of Oto, where he ended up using all his chakra, thus summoning Orochimaru and then Itachi "sealed" him with the Totsuka no Tsurugi. During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Itachi was resurrected by Kabuto and, together with Nagato, they set off for an unknown location. Upon meeting Naruto again, he discovered that Sasuke had not returned to Konohagakure and decided to take revenge on the village, in addition to joining Akatsuki. Itachi used the Sharingan he had hidden in Naruto to break Kabuto's control over him and, finally, fought and sealed Nagato with the Totsuka no Tsurugi. The Uchiha set off for the location where the Yakushi was in order to undo the Edo Tensei, and on the way he met Sasuke again, who asked for an explanation, but Itachi said that there was no time for that, and the two set off after Kabuto. Upon finding the antagonist, they began a long fight, and the eldest Uchiha used Izanami, which is a technique that makes the opponent live a moment infinitely and that can only be undone if the victim accepts their fate. Afterwards, Itachi had used a Genjutsu to undo the Edo Tensei, and returned to the Underworld after saying that he loved Sasuke.

As a member of the Uchiha clan, Itachi had great aptitude in Katon (Fire Style) and especially Genjutsu (Illusion Jutsu). He was very good at Shurikenjutsu, which he learned a lot from Shisui, his Sharingan was one of the best among the Uchihas. The Uchiha was able to perform several hand-to-hand combats, however, his level of physical combat does not compare to his prowess in illusions, that is, Genjutsu. However, Itachi has already had a confrontation against two Jinchūrikis, namely: Naruto and Killer Bee, however, during the fight, the deceased Nukenin began to help the shinobis of the Shinobi Alliance who, with the support of the Uchiha, managed to defeat Nagato Uzumaki.

Skills: Sharingan

As a member of the Uchiha clan, he possessed the Sharingan, a very powerful ocular Dōjutsu that can be awakened by strong emotion. The first user was Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki, the Sage of the Six Paths. This ocular jutsu considerably increased the power of the user's abilities, in addition to consuming a lot of chakra. It also gave Itachi the ability to copy techniques and movements, learning them at super speed. People entered a Genjutsu just by looking at Itachi's eyes; he was one of the best users of the Sharingan. The Mangekyō is the evolution of this Dōjutsu, and according to the Nukenin, it could only be awakened if the user killed his best friend. But the truth is that the user must suffer a very strong trauma, such as seeing the death of a close friend or family member. In addition to increasing all abilities considerably, it also gives some exclusive techniques to the user, such as Susano'o or Amaterasu.

Amaterasu has been described as the most powerful jutsu in all of anime. It consists of black flames that are almost the same temperature as the Sun. The user uses one of his eyes to focus on the place he wants to burn, as a result, that eye begins to bleed and with tremendous pain. Amaterasu's flames last seven days and nights, being able to burn fire itself, and can only be extinguished by the user.

Itachi had great aptitude with the Fire element, which is also the main element of the Uchiha clan. He was able to create a fireball with giant extension, and he also combined it with shurikens to throw them on fire at the opponent. After showing great skill in the Fire element, Itachi was able to perform several jutsus derived from this element, an example of a great technique is the Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu, among other similar skills. We also saw that the Uchiha was able to use the Katon element together with the use of Shurikenjutsu, that is, ninja stars covered in flames.

Skills: Genjustu

This was one of Itachi's specialties, he was able to put a person in a Genjutsu just by looking into their eyes. The Uchiha could reflect illusions, like when Kurenai used a jutsu of this type on him, and the Nukenin reflected it back at her. The deserter used crows to facilitate the distraction of his victim, thus giving him more chances to trap his opponent in an illusion. Not to mention that the Akatsuki member had access to Tsukuyomi, one of the most powerful Genjutsus in the anime, and also had enough skills to perform Izanami, an infinite cycle jutsu.

Ability: Kuchiyosen no Jutsu

Well, Itachi's Kuchiyose no Jutsu was basically about summoning crows. Unlike common summons, the Uchiha used it for distractions, thus making his opponent get trapped in a Genjutsu more easily. However, Itachi had an unusual crow, as it was a bird with a Mangekyō Sharingan. With this animal, the Nukenin gained a wider view of the location of the confrontation, as he left his summon at a high distance, thus being able to see the entire battlefield. The crows also helped Itachi retreat from fights he did not want to conclude.

Tsukuyomi is considered one of the best Genjutsus in the Shinobi World. The user of the technique needs experience and power to use such an illusory jutsu. However, the consequences are catastrophic, as the user of the ability can gradually suffer from blindness, so it is good to have physical preparation for this. Tsukuyomi itself involves the user of the Sharingan leaving his opponent trapped in his subconscious, thus being able to control everything that will happen to his victim. In the case of Itachi, he was seen using a torture technique on Kakashi, where the Hatake was tied up while several Itachis penetrated him with a sword. The Genjutsu lasted only 1 second, however, in the Copy Ninja's subconscious, 3 full days of torture had passed. Tsukuyomi even caused the Konohagakure Jōnin to be in a coma for days.

Skills: Izanami

Itachi was able to use this jutsu classified as Dōjutsu and also Genjutsu. The technique can only be used by those who have the Sharingan, in which the user analyzes the state of the enemy's body, thus starting the cycle. Then the user of the jutsu must recreate such a scene and "record" a certain moment with his Dōjutsu. After these actions, the technique is practically done, everything that happened will be repeated countless times, thus leaving the opponent trapped in a cycle within his subconscious. During the enemy's stay in Genjutsu, the victim is paralyzed, while the previous scenes are repeated in his mind. Even the person affected by Izanami knowing that he is trapped in such a jutsu, he cannot escape the technique, the only way to escape would be to accept his mistakes and repent. After repentance, the Dōjutsu will be undone, however, as a consequence, the user of Genjutsu will lose the vision in one of his eyes. We also saw the power of Genjutsu during Sasuke and Itachi's fight.

Skills: Susano'o

This technique is another fruit of his Dōjutsu, that is, the Mangekyō Sharingan, where as the translation says, "God of Thunder". This jutsu makes a clear reference to a myth of Japanese culture, where there was a divine being with this name, he had a sword that he used to seal a man who transformed into an eight-headed snake, and for a change the name of the antagonist of the folklore was Orochimaru, identical to the scene in which Itachi sealed the Legendary Sannin of Oto with the Totsuka no Tsurugi. The Susano'o itself is a humanoid of colossal proportions, the color always varies from user to user, in the case of Itachi it had practically two shades; in the anime, it was illustrated as red, while in the manga, it was yellow. In addition to all this, the Uchiha's Susano'o had two armaments, considered relics, namely: Totsuka no Tsurugi and the Yata Mirror. The Ten-Handed Sword was coveted by Orochimaru, and he spent his entire life searching for it. However, the blade can seal anything it passes through. The shield can repel all attacks that are thrown in its direction, but when the jutsu is repelled, it becomes ineffective.

Skills: Total Management

The Totsuka no Tsurugi is a very powerful sword, however, the user must be able to handle the blade very well, and requires total control over Kenjutsu. The Ten-Handed Longsword is considered Fūinjutsu, so it is obviously a weapon for sealing, as was shown during the fight between Itachi and Sasuke. As the battle unfolded, as a result of the youngest Uchiha using all of his chakra, Orochimaru ended up freeing himself and, shortly after, the Akatsuki Nukenin "sealed" him inside the container of the Totsuka no Tsurugi. The Yata Mirror consists of a shield that is located on Itachi's Susanoo, the armament is composed of all Five Basic Nature Transformations. The Yata no Kagami can repel any type of attack that is launched at it, thus being of great support in combat. According to Black Zetsu, together with the Totsuka no Tsurugi, Itachi's Susanoo was practically invincible. The Uchiha used the Yata Mirror during the fight against Sasuke to defend himself from his younger brother's Kirin. It was also used in a confrontation against Nagato Uzumaki.

Skills: Yasakana and Magatama

The Yasaka no Magatama is one of the weapons used by Susano'o, which is basically based on a chain of magatamas connected by lines. We can see that the Akatsuki Nukenin was also able to use this weapon, thus being the third armament that the Uchiha "God of Thunder" used. We had several types of this technique.
