History:

Genya was born into a poor family along with her older brother Sanemi and six other siblings. Her father was a violent man who constantly beat them and her mother. His father's violent and abusive nature led him to be killed in a fight. After this incident, his mother had to work to support all her children. Sanemi, being the eldest brother, looked after the younger ones. But one night his mother did not return from work. As it was already late at night, Sanemi went out to look for her and left Genya in the care of the others. Hours later there was a knock at the door and the younger brothers opened it because they thought it was their mother. Unfortunately, it was an unknown man who instantly entered and murdered all of Genya's younger siblings. This man was a serial killer who had accidentally and unfortunately found the Shinazugawa house. The only one who managed to hide and get out of that massacre alive was Genya, who ran away to get help. Moments later he found Sanemi with the slit throat of his mother. Little Genya, confused and scared by the situation, thought that his older brother had killed his mother, so he ran to him and blamed him for the woman's death, shouting at him repeatedly. Shortly afterward he learned that his mother had been murdered by the same man who also killed his younger siblings, when she was a few blocks from getting home, and that Sanemi had only found her cold, pulseless body in the middle of the street. He wanted to apologize to his older brother, but the latter no longer spoke to him and did not want to hear from him. To this day, despite living in the same house, Sanemi does not speak to his brother.
