Born as a Blood Maiden, Alice was said to be capable of killing Marchens with just her bare hands at a young age. Due to this ability and the fact that her eyes change colors when she is exposed to Marchen blood, she was labeled as a monster and was feared and abused by her peers. After Jack protected her from her tormentors, Alice formed a strong attachment to him. When Marchens attacked their village, Alice and Jack were captured and imprisoned in the City Streets Area in the Jail.

She was imprisoned with Jack in the Jail, where they suffered daily tortures until rescued by Red Riding Hood. Although she can judge things calmly and has a diligent yet cool demeanor, she is transparent when it comes to her feelings for Jack. After being saved by Red Riding Hood, she becomes a member of the Blood Team.

blood maiden Aside from strength and regeneration beyond an ordinary human's, Blood Maidens have one distinguishing feature. When in contact with Marchen blood, the color of a Blood Maiden's eyes temporarily changes to pink. Enough exposure to blood can send them into Massacre Mode, an enhanced state marked by a change in appearance and demeanor. However, this same blood also builds up Corruption in their body, which negatively impacts their mental health and can even send them into Blood Skelter if improperly managed. They also tend to have a "blood libido", or a personality quirk. blood Skelter Blood Maidens cannot simply bathe in Marchen blood without consequence. Corruption will slowly build up in a Blood Maiden, making her agitated and gradually polluting her mentality. A Blood Maiden pushed past the tipping point will enter Blood Skelter, a dangerous state where she attains great power, but is unable to recognize friend or foe, becoming nothing more than a rabid berserker. Before Jack's blood was discovered to have anti-Corruption properties, Blood Maidens who entered Blood Skelter were considered already dead, and were either put down or left in the area, where they would rampage before burning out.
