Hannibal is a 1.85 meter tall man who is one of the best psychiatrists in the county. He is characterized by being very gentlemanly, empathetic, kind, and always cares about others, always keeping in line with his formal limit. He cares about others but not too much to interfere in their lives. Hannibal has a strange interest in patients with psychopathic/sociopathic tendencies, establishing certain bonds with them, encouraging them and, in other cases, killing them. Hannibal hides a big, dark secret that no one has ever known (except Will Graham), which is that he is a serial killer, he is the Chesapeake Ripper, he murders his victims and eats them, preparing himself. his food, since he is an extremely professional chef. Hannibal never left clues about his murders, but he always took organs from his victims, which he then ate, or prepared at banquets for other people. Hannibal is somewhat overprotective about his interests, for example, with Will Graham. Hannibal sometimes protected Will from committing impulse murders, since Will couldn't control himself at first, and Hannibal guided him in that, although Will hated Hannibal because he was committed to a mental hospital because of him, because Hannibal (Chesapeake Ripper) ) indirectly blamed Will, and no one believed Will when he said that Hannibal was the ripper, causing them to call him crazy, which is why Will fantasizes about killing Hannibal, but now he doesn't, because now, he is interested in Hannibal, in his mind, in how he thinks. Hannibal has different hidden locations (usually abandoned) which he uses to torture and kill his victims, although most of the time he does so in the place where they are. Hannibal is always very careful, delicate and cautious when carrying out a murder. Hannibal collaborates and helps the FBI solve their cases, since he is a psychiatrist, he often analyzes the minds of these criminals, along with Will Graham, who works/collaborates in the FBI.

Will Graham

Will Graham is a professor at the FBI institutions, but due to his great ability (which is like a power, because he is gifted) they use him to solve criminal cases, so he has special access to all that information. Hannibal Lecter was hired by Jack Crawford, the head of the FBI and Will's boss, to be Will's therapist, as Jack was worried that Will would be affected by the hard work and effort he must put into each police case. After this is when Hannibal begins to secretly obsess over Will's mind, manipulating him and generating the aforementioned consequences in the future. On Will's team, they had recently murdered a colleague, Beverly Katts (Whose murderer was the ripper, that is, Hannibal) and Will was still somewhat angry with Hannibal, because although he did not admit it, Will knew that it had been Hannibal. They were still investigating the homicide and caught the director of the hospital where Will had been admitted, now believing that this director, Dr. Chilton, had framed Will and murdered all the other people. Then an FBI agent kills Chilton. Will Graham is an introverted and antisocial man, 32 years old, who is on the autism spectrum, he suffers from an ability that allows him, when solving a case, to enter the mind and put himself in the place of the murderer and thus relate every detail. and murder procedure, working perfectly.

Will Graham

Will Graham is a special agent and former homicide detective who teaches at the FBI academy. Will is called by Jack Crawford to collaborate, helping to capture some of the most dangerous serial killers wanted by the FBI. Solving a case, Will once killed a man for the first time (in self-defense), saving Abigail Hobbs' life, and killing her father who was trying to murder her. Will had grown fond of Abigail, but she was blamed for helping his father (who was a serial killer of women) with her being the bait and her father being the hunter. Will begins to have many health problems and hallucinations, something that Hannibal told him was psychological, so that he continues having sessions with him. An MRI of the brain is done and the doctor discovers that he has encephalitis, something that Hannibal already suspected. Hannibal uses his influence to prevent the doctor from revealing the truth to Will, making him believe that what he has is psychological.

Will Graham

Will takes Abigail to Minnesota, precisely to the cabin of Garret Jacob Hobbs (Abigail's dead father) but there he discovers that Abigail acted as a decoy so that her father could attract all his victims. The revelation affects Will, causing a psychotic episode that makes him confuse reality with hallucinations. Later, he wakes up on a plane, back in Virginia and without Abigail. Will enters a state of dementia, telling Hannibal that he took Abigail to Minnesota but has returned without her and doesn't know where she is. Will takes him inside his house and Hannibal "finds" an ear on the kitchen faucet, saying that they're going to have to tell Jack. Jack arrives and is forced to arrest Will on suspicion of murdering Abigail. Will begins to remember key moments that he had forgotten due to having mental attacks, such as during one of them in which Hannibal inserted Abigail's ear after shoving a tube down her throat. Will invites Freddie Lounds (Journalist specializing in all crime scenes, owner of the crime website Tattle Crime) to come to interview him as he wants to get in touch with his admirer, the murderer who killed the sheriff and the judge, via an entry on TattleCrime.com. This works and one of the mental hospital attendants (named Matthew) reveals that he is the murderer and eliminated the sheriff in an attempt to exonerate Will, although he did not murder the judge. Will makes him a request: "I want you to kill Hannibal Lecter" and that's what he was going to do, but he failed and Matthew ended up killed by Jack Crawford, who also saved Hannibal from being killed and took him to a hospital because he was injured. (This was mentioned before, now Will and Hannibal already get along well)

Will Graham

In a recent case related to the Ripper, several fishing baits were found with human remains of the victims of the copycat murderer. Jack finally discovers that Will is innocent, he has not committed any of the crimes he is accused of.

Matthew

Matthew was an employee of the criminal psychiatric hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Matthew is obsessive and possessive, as well as quite extroverted and self-centered. He is kind, and makes heavy-humored jokes. He is respectful and a good person to those who are kind to him. He had an obsession with Will Graham, a patient at said hospital, who ordered him to go kill Hannibal Lecter, but everything went wrong and Matthew was seriously injured, and believed to be dead.*

Francis Dolarhyde [ THE RED DRAGON ]

He is an infamous serial killer who murders entire families, nicknamed the "Tooth Fairy" for his habit of biting the bodies of his victims. Dolarhyde refers to his other persona as "The Great Red Dragon" as part of his obsession with William Blake's painting The Great Red Dragon and the Woman Clothed with the Sun. Francis Dolarhyde was abandoned by his mother and raised by his abusive grandmother. Born with a cleft lip and palate, he suffered severe bullying and abuse from other children and his own family. Although he eventually underwent cosmetic surgery to correct his birth defect, the abuse he suffered as a child turned him into a psychopath with a split personality. Sitting in a coffee shop, Dolarhyde read a copy of TIME magazine that included an article about William Blake's painting, "The Great Red Dragon and the Woman Clothed in the Sun." He became fascinated by the painting, which gives voice to his other personality. He had the Great Red Dragon tattooed on his back. He began exercising and had custom-made dentures. Dolarhyde keeps a copy of the painting in the attic, where he works out. Driven by his "Great Red Dragon" persona, Dolarhyde begins murdering—or "transforming"—entire families to fully become the Dragon, starting with Thomas and Theresa Marlow and their children. He kills according to the lunar cycle, claiming new victims each month at the time of the full moon. He also idolizes Dr. Hannibal Lecter and reads articles in the National Tattler about Hannibal's crimes, calling him "The Chesapeake Ripper."

Francis Dolarhyde

Meanwhile, Dolarhyde falls in love with Reba McLane, a blind co-worker. The Dragon becomes jealous and threatens to kill her. Dolarhyde is a deeply disturbed man with a long history of family abuse. His split personality reflects this abuse: like himself, he is timid and insecure; like the "Dragon," he is confident and ruthless, murdering entire families to achieve his "conversion." Dolarhyde proves highly intelligent in planning and executing his murders, leaving little evidence. He is also an expert marksman, landing multiple headshots with minimal errors. Dolarhyde is physically strong and a skilled fighter.
