anime, Jet Jaguar was named after its creator, Goro Otaki. Its original form was known as the Jet Jaguar Prototype, to designate it as the original functional version. Its upgraded form was Jet Jaguar β, [1] indicating it was the prototype's successor variant, and formally Jet Jaguar Yung after Yung, Yun's personal artificial intelligence construct that inhabits the mecha. After a successful reboot, JJ adopted a new name: Jet Jaguar PP.

Jet Jaguar was created by Goro Otaki, director of the Otaki factory, with the help of Yun Arikawa and Haberu Kato, as a "protector" against unspecified hostile threats. He was the mascot of the Otaki Factory, appearing in their logo. History

appearance:

Jet Jaguar had a similar design and color scheme to its previous incarnations and maintains the signature "smile" of the original. As a mecha created by a small-scale builder, it appears somewhat crude, with ribbed rubber connectors protecting the joints, perforated metal sheets covering its cockpit, and three-fingered hands that appear to be adapted from industrial robots. The Jet Jaguar's torso was round, allowing a human pilot to sit inside. JJ possesses a cubic backpack that carries his main battery bank, which can be ejected in an emergency.

Appearance:

Throughout the series, JJ has continually improved in response to the various kaiju threats he faces. These modifications mainly concern the Jet Jaguar's mobility, initially using two stumpy humanoid legs, moving to a wheeled tripod base derived from an industrial robot, and finally two longer humanoid legs, more reminiscent of the original Jet Jaguar, after its second remodeling. He also wields the Anguirus Spear as his primary weapon after this point. During the penultimate episode, he was equipped with a helipack with two large rotors attached to his backpack. After the "Protocol to Make Jet Jaguar Invincible" protocol came into effect, Jet Jaguar experienced tremendous growth, reaching several stories tall, and was able to fight Godzilla head-to-head.

Initially, Jet Jaguar was primarily controlled by humans, with some programmed routines that can take over should the human pilot become incapacitated. After Yung inhabited it, Jet Jaguar became completely autonomous and no longer required a human pilot. Yung quickly mastered control over the robot's body, as seen when he, with assistance, was able to defeat Anguirus despite being severely damaged. After his second repair, Jet Jaguar quickly became proficient in the use of his spear, being able to use it to combat multiple Kumongas while protecting the humans. He was able to consistently win games of rock, paper, scissors by analyzing the change in his opponents' gestures.

During a trip to the beach, Yung contemplated his existence within a physical body, argued with Yun, and showed a philosophical side to his personality. While heading to Godzilla, Yung was affected by the poem "Tyger", forcing him to shut down and attempt several restarts. After successfully reactivating, Jet Jaguar adopted a childish personality, referring to Yun as "mom". Despite this, his combat prowess and motor skills were still unaffected. The invincibility protocol merged the consciousness of Jung and Pelops II and gave them the proper intelligence of a quantum computer, stating that they "knew everything from the beginning, but couldn't remember it" initially. They had claimed that they were the source of the lullaby that attracted the Kaiju in the first place, and that the Jet Jaguar itself was the code for the Orthogonal Diagonalizer. This was demonstrated when the OD was successfully activated, clearing Tokyo of the Red Dust and obliterating Godzilla.

The initial Jet Jaguar was strong enough to take on Rodan's original form, using his durability, mass, and mechanical arms to occupy the flying kaiju until he overexerted himself. In his second form, he was unable to overpower Anguirus, but held out long enough to fire two harpoons at point-blank range at the beast, ultimately killing the kaiju. In his third form, he was completely autonomous and did not need a human pilot to control him. Combined with his longer legs and Anguirus Spear, he was able to fend off a swarm of Kumongas, despite being vastly outnumbered. After becoming Jet Jaguar PP, he was able to fight Godzilla himself, being able to take and deal blows against the monster's melee attacks.

Strength, combat and weapons:

The Jet Jaguar's greatest advantage was perhaps its mobility, as it could move quickly despite its large size. This was reflected in its refits, which mainly affect its mobility systems. With his initial bipedal legs, he was able to match the first Rodan in combat, being able to dodge several of the creature's attacks. In his second form, JJ was granted a tripod-wheeled base, allowing him to run off-road at high speeds despite carrying a large harpoon cannon. This speed was crucial in his fight against Anguirus, being able to effectively intercept or outrun the kaiju. With his longer bipedal legs, Jet Jaguar becomes increasingly agile, being able to maintain balance while wielding a very heavy spear and even perform jumps and somersaults while carrying it, displaying excellent agility in combat.

Weakness:

Despite his durability, Jet Jaguar can be damaged by sufficiently powerful attacks, which may require a lengthy rebuilding period to make him combat-ready again. This had been shown several times in the series, where JJ loses an arm and suffers several damaged systems after his fight with Rodan, decapitation and a damaged wheelbase after the fight with Anguirus, and a lost power source after the fights with the Kumongas. His helipack also gave him some problems, as the engines were underpowered and unreliable, often shutting down during flight. Jet Jaguar was powered by a battery in its backpack, the capacity of which was limited and hindered the robot a bit. The battery may run down after particularly strenuous activities, requiring JJ to recharge his energy reserves. The robot has an emergency power supply, which it can use to retreat from combat. During such a scenario, you can eject the main battery at its back, lightening its load and allowing you a quick getaway. Ultimately, Jet Jaguar was unable to withstand the point-blank blasts of Godzilla Ultima's Atomic Breath, despite his invincibility protocol and massive growth.
