Cross lived in the XTale universe created by Xmaster. After the events of XTale, the AU Cross was destroyed, and the skeleton itself was left alone with X!The enchanter he imprisoned in his body. Some time later, Ink appeared, with whom Cross eventually became friends. But one day, after a rejected invitation, Cor!Frisk, Cross asked Ink to return his universe, to which he said that he could not resurrect the dead. Because of this, Cross began to move away from Inca, who, due to business, could not provide Cross all the time and left him. After that, Error came and took Cross's soul, referring to the fact that "his suffering is too long" and he can give Cross eternal rest, but Ink came and saved Cross. Due to the loss of their soul, Chara and Cross had to share the same body. They teleported to the original universe and stole half of Sans's soul, despite the fact that Ink tried to stop them. Later, Nightmer came to Cross, feeling negative emotions, and offered him a deal, to which Cross agreed. Cross had to extract negative emotions for Nightmer, simultaneously cracking the code of the universe and transferring the location to the destroyed universe of Cross. However, while Cross was hacking the Underfell code, Ink and Sans tried to stop him (the latter was able to hint to Cross about his connection with HGASTER (his accidental vision), which paralyzed him for a long time, even Chara could not help). They almost defeated Cross, but he was able to escape and transfer Snowdin to his universe. There he manages to knock Chara out of consciousness in a dream, because he has lost confidence in him. Next, Cross and Nightmer visited the Underswap surface. He was again confronted by Ink and Sans, who were helped by Swap!Papyrus. At the moment when Cross was distracted, Sans and Fell!Sans knocked out Cross and returned half of his soul to Sans.

history part 2

It took a lot of events until the moment when HGaster brought Cross back to life. Knowing that Cross was not to blame for what was happening, he let him choose whether to go with him or not. Cross found himself in the space where Nightmer and the Killer attacked Dream. He intervened in the battle, and then Dream sent him with him to the Omega Timeline. Cor!Frisk greeted him joyfully despite his displeasure. Cross showed a little more hostility and went away to reflect on his actions that led to the genocide. The characters from Epictale (whom he did not remember because of the machinations of HGASTER) and Kor explained the situation to him. Cross was equally saddened and asked to be left alone. After some sleep, Dream talked to him, explaining his involvement in the conflict. Cross explains his detachment - everyone who promised him freedom used him for their own whim. A gust of desperation changed reality and inadvertently summoned Nightmer and the Killer. When Dream had little chance of survival, HGaster used the Cross to find out "the behavior of this thing." When Cross comes to his senses, Dream sees in him what opens the key to his soul. Cross recovers mentally and does everything to keep Nightmer for the final attack of the Dream. The victory ends with Cross asking the Killer not to go crazy with his boss. Later, he wakes up surrounded by residents of Omega Timeline and thanks them for curing him, unlike "that old man". He strives to return to Xtale in order to see his family and stop being controlled by the Master. But first of all, Fresh!Sans and Dream send him to the Anti-Void in search of the Inca. It is not yet known why, but the Cross is already much more cheerful due to the support of the entire Epictale.

Xtale Event part 1

A few years ago X!Frisk broke the barrier, X!Sans and X!Papyrus both head towards the town hall, in which X!Undine appears out of nowhere and captures X!Frisk. Later it turned out that this was part of the training, however X!Sans started acting strangely, especially as he later tried to kill X!Frisk, who was his best friend. After these two went to House X!Gaster, he's debating whether he should do a rewrite or not. Meanwhile, Sansu starts having dreams about the X-Event!Chare, who threatens to kill him (against the background there is a battle of copies of Frisk and Sans from the genocide path of the original universe), and he feels his soul remembering past timelines. While at a ceremony to promote peace, Sans suddenly makes an attempt to kill X!Frisk would have succeeded if X hadn't intervened!Guster. He runs, but was caught by X!Mettaton. Before he could explain anything to his brother, tamline dropped off again, this time the ceremony went well. As it turned out, X-Event!Frisk (influenced by X-Event!Charms) and X!Gaster are fighting against each other for control of the Timeline, and that this Timeline has been rewritten 10 times due to the power of REWRITING. Frisk tries to convince him of the need to destroy the crippled soul in order to return everything to its place. But Sans does not see common sense in this, believing that no one has the right to decide the path of history, so he refuses to kill Frisk, calling his efforts to save him a mistake. Sans' refusal leads to a battle, which ends with him getting his trademark scar and the name "Cross".

Xtale event part 2

X immediately runs up!Gaster condemns Frisk for his actions, to which he openly calls this timeline sucks. It makes both of them laugh a little, but this joy becomes incomprehensible to Cross. X!Gaster resets the Timeline, but Cross still has his scar from the battle earlier, and he also refuses to forgive Frisk's intentions to own the timeline, considering it a mania for power (a similar feeling of the protagonists of most AU, whose timelines were infinitely RESET). As before, he and Papyrus are heading to the Town Hall with the X-Event!Frisk, but X!Andine tells Cross that he is no longer needed, and then a battle ensues that goes against Cross. As long as he gets back on his feet with the remaining half of his soul, X!Gaster gets his wounds from all the X-Tale characters except Alphys. As he dies, he reminds X-Event that they will never find the other half of his soul, and that he will always watch as they search in vain for it. Despite this, X-Event!Frisk is attacking X!Gaster, but his plan stops after Cross enters. Cross then uses blue magic on almost everyone except Papyrus to take Frisk away and win. He has to use it as a human shield, eventually killing them and his brother. At the same time, X!Gaster is asking for X-Tale!Alphys, does she keep all his records, seeing that his death is killing the universe. When most of the main characters are dead, Cross absorbs the soul of X-Event under the pretext that such power must be earned before being used, and then kills Frisk, refusing to listen to Chara. However, his status as a monster and the death of X!Frisk and X!Gaster meant that the universe was completely dead, and he couldn't OVERWRITE and RESET at all, despite his best efforts. The realization that Cross had lost everyone and was left alone with X-Chara drove him crazy and led to a state of psychopath in which he could only repent of his actions and motives, which, by the way, the children did not do.
