Lillie

Etymology

The name Lillie originates from "lily" as her white dress resembles the white petals of a lily flower as well as the name following the plant-based naming of characters.

Appearance

This section, or a part of it, has been transcluded from Lillie; any changes involving it should be made there instead. / Lillie is a young girl with green eyes and platinum blond hair, with two braids at each side of her face. She wears a large white hat, with a blue ribbon around it. Lillie wears a white dress with transparent outlines, a pair of long socks and white shoes resembling ballet flats. She also carries a round bag with a Poké Ball design on both sides. As later revealed, Lusamine made the choice of Lillie's dress for her, likely with the intent of resembling a Nihilego given her obsession with that species of Ultra Beast. After realizing her mother is too far gone to listen to reason, she temporarily changes her outfit to a white sailor-like shirt with a blue ribbon and a very short white miniskirt with a light blue line. She stops wearing her hat, instead restyling her hair as a ponytail tied together with a braid. She also wears a pink backpack with a white ribbon and white penny loafers with white ankle socks. While she returns to her original style after rescuing her mother, Lillie wears this outfit until the Alola League was over. She also wears a white Z-Ring with a red strap that once belonged to her father with an Icium Z.

Appearance

When she goes swimming, Lillie wears a light blue two-piece swimsuit covered with sea shell braids. As later revealed, Lusamine made the choice of Lillie's dress for her, likely with the intent of resembling a Nihilego given her obsession with that species of Ultra Beast. As a member of the Ultra Guardians, Lillie wears a pink and white Ultra Guardian uniform with light pink accents as the edge of her short sleeves, collar, and the in lines of her uniform is black with matching pink gloves. She retains her hairstyle from her second outfit. In "Dummy, You Shrunk the Kids!", she retains her hairstyle from her second outfit while wearing her original style. She also tied up her hair when she was helping out at Mallow's family restaurant in "A Recipe for Success!". For her goal to find her lost father, Lillie wears a white vintage dress with light blue accents and a light green ribbon around her waist. Her hat contains a light blue ribbon hem and a white lily on the knot of the bow. She wears her hair with the braids tied at the back with a light green ribbon. She wears her father's Z-Ring on her left wrist and a pair of white gloves with spiky cuffs.

Personality

Lillie is a girl who loves Pokémon but was unable to touch them after moving away to another mansion with her mother and brother after an accident with an ultra beast. Upon her return, she inexplicably was frightened of Pokémon and will either jump away or freeze like a statue though some feel that she is terrified of them. Despite her fears, Lillie loves to leave food out for various Pokémon to eat. Her knowledge of Pokémon is top notch. Lillie was so scared of touching Pokémon that she had to wear a suit to ride Pokémon. Lillie decided to take one step at a time to get over her fear of touching Pokémon. Initially, she was only comfortable with her Alolan Vulpix Snowy, but managed to touch Ash's Pikachu without hesitation later on, and even ride a Stoutland without repercussions. However, after her memories came back regarding Silvally saving her, she was able to touch all Pokémon without being scared. She has a keen eye to detail which was shown when she noticed the details in the recording tape of Rotom's and proved Kiawe's innocence. Lillie is rebellious towards her mother Lusamine upon their reunion and like Brock, she also shows her anger and disdain because of her ditzy behavior and also causes a fall out between the two and became annoyed when she keeps doting on her. After rescuing their mother from the Ultra Beasts onward, Lillie grew more confident in herself shown in "Not Caving Under Pressure!" when she teamed up with medium-sized wild Alolan Sandshrew in a Double Battle with Snowy against a wild Tyranitar.

Skills

Though she had a problem with touching Pokémon at first, Lillie compensates that problem by learning more about them. She shows a lot of knowledge in certain topics. In addition, she also makes quality Pokémon food. Lillie has shown both her Pokémon battling skills and tactics due to watching her friends battle a lot of times. Also, Lillie has shown to be able to use Z-Moves.

RelationshipsFamily

Lusamine When Lillie was younger, she and her mother were very close, but once Lusamine became distracted with her increasingly busying work at the Aether Foundation, she often made decisions without considering her daughter's feelings, causing a strain in their relationship. Lusamine is very fond of Lillie and often treats her like a little baby, which greatly embarrasses her daughter and causes her to frequently get annoyed at her. However, their relationship improved once Lusamine realised how much she had been neglecting Lillie's feelings. After she saved her from a Nihilego in Ultra Space, Lillie felt close with her mother again. She also comforted Lusamine over her grief from losing Mohn, showing how much she truly cares for her mother. Lillie joined her mother on a journey to find her long lost father alongside Gladion.

RelationshipsFamily

Mohn Mohn is Lillie's father, but she believed that he passed away when she was still a baby. However, Lillie and Gladion found out that their father was still alive as they search for info about him due to not knowing much about him. She cares about her father and felt a bond with him when she found his Z-Ring along with discovering Magearna that he found and bought for her. After a long journey to the Crown Tundra in the Galar region, Lillie and her family managed to find Mohn. But much to their shocking discovery, he is suffering amnesia. Therefore, he has no clear memory of either of his family members in the past. This discovery left Lillie, Gladion, and Lusamine devastated. However, they also discovered that he was also living with a shiny Nihilego whom he thinks is his own daughter, "Lillie". This led to the family to go investigate the cabin while Lusamine goes to talk to Mohn. During the search, they discovered that the windows are filthy, Mohn's old clothes were hidden, and the mirrors are removed. But in the process, they are reunited with Ash while also meeting Goh and Chloe as well. With her friends' help, Lillie and her family successfully managed to help Mohn snap out of his amnesia and restore his memories through his reflection in a mirror. With that, Mohn embraced his family and their Pokémon. Lillie then thanks Nihilego for taking care of her father and asked it to come back to Alola with them, which it happily accepted.

RelationshipsFamily

Gladion Growing up, Lillie and Gladion shared a close sibling relationship with each other, and are often shown playing together in flashbacks. However, after a Nihilego attacked Lillie and she developed a fear of touching Pokémon, Gladion left to become stronger to defeat all Ultra Beasts, and although this decision was made out of a desire to protect Lillie, it also caused them to grow distant, with Lillie becoming confused by how serious and cold her normally kind brother had become when he returned. Over time, as Lillie gets over her fear of Pokémon and the two decide to look for their father together, the relationship improves and they become close once again. Gladion appears to be impressed by how much stronger Lillie has become over time, and Lillie is very supportive of her brother, as shown when she twirled around in excitement when he made it to the semifinals of the Alola League. Lillie and Gladion accompany their mother on a journey to find their long lost father.

Hobbes Hobbes is more than just a family servant to Lillie but a close friend to her as he takes great care of her. Lillie has known Hobbes her whole life and consider him a father-figure. Also, Hobbes does a lot for Lillie and her family. Lillie parts ways with Hobbes for a while when she and her family left to go on a journey to find her long lost father.

Lana Lillie shares a close friendship with Lana as they do a lot of girl activities together. They spend their most time together and they even have Mallow join them from time to time. Lillie would do anything to help Lana when she needs it. Also, Lillie and Lana are classmates at the Pokémon School. At times, Lillie gets annoyed with Lana's jokes. They part ways when Lillie left with her family to go look for her long lost father while Lana stays in Alola before setting off to go fishing with her dad.

Mallow Lillie is very good friends with Mallow and they do a lot of girl stuff together with Lana joining them in their activities. Also, Lillie would help Mallow as she looks out for her just like she looks out for her. Lillie and Mallow are also classmates at the Pokémon School. They went their separate ways when Lillie left for a journey with her family while Mallow stays in Alola to improve her families restaurant.

Kiawe Kiawe is one of Lillie's good friends and classmates at the Pokémon School. Lillie would help Kiawe and has his back when he needs it, shown when she helped him protect his family farm from being turn into a resort hotel. They part ways when Lillie decided to go on a journey with her family while Kiawe stays in Alola to finish his Island Challenge.

Sophocles Sophocles is Lillie's other good friend and classmate at the Pokémon School. Lillie would encourage Sophocles to do his best, shown when she came to support him in the Vikavolt race. Lillie also claimed that Sophocles was the first one to converse with her when she arrived at the Pokémon School, while she was consoling and supporting him regarding his moving situation. They part ways when Lillie and Sophocles left Alola as she was on a journey with her family to look for her long lost father while he left to make his dream a reality in Hoenn with his cousin, Molayne, accompanying him.

Ash Ash is one of Lillie's best friends as he looks out for her and is always concerned for her safety. When Lillie first met Ash, she instantly trusted him as she felt comfortable to hide behind him when a Tauros approached her, which shows how they were able to hit off their strong friendship right away. Lillie and Ash were also classmates at the Pokémon School. Also, Lillie was inspired by Ash to take action of getting over her fear of touching Pokémon, which got her to touch a couple of them. However, after becoming scared of touching Pokémon again and became depressed about it, Lillie was not only inspired by Ash's upbeat attitude when he cheered her up but he also encouraged her to not give up on getting over her fear of touching Pokémon once and for all. Lillie is very grateful to Ash as she wouldn't remember her past and get over her fear of touching Pokémon without his help. Also, Ash was the biggest help in getting Lillie and Gladion's mother back from Ultra Space with their other friends assisting in the rescue as well. Like Serena, Lillie admires Ash and looks up to him as she learned a lot from him. In addition, Lillie would get helpful advice from Ash and he even helped her perfect her Z-Moves. Lillie and Ash share a common love for Pokémon, excitement for adventure and their willingness to help people or Pokémon for various reasons. Although sometimes, Lillie does get annoyed with Ash's habits. Lillie gives her full support for Ash whenever he is in a Pokémon battle or competition he participates in. They part ways for a very different journey but not before telling each other how glad to have met and thanked each other for everything they did for one another.

Pokémon

Snowy Lillie took care of Snowy, Vulpix, since she was an Egg, but when she hatched she became her partner Pokémon. However, after spending the day bonding with her first Pokémon, Lillie ended up getting another best friend in Snowy. Lillie enjoys holding Snowy in her arms as they like to be together no matter what the activity was and would always have her outside her Poké Ball. Also, Lillie would do anything to keep Snowy safe from harms way and she would do the same for her. Lillie brought Snowy with her on her journey with her family to find her long lost father.

pokemon

Magearna Magearna is a Mythical Pokémon Lillie is taking good care of, although it was inactive when they first met. Magearna was meant to be a present for Lillie from her father Mohn, however he couldn't activate it. Lillie then decided to activate Magearna herself so she could get to know it and become friends. Through hard work and the love she has for her family, Lillie was able to reactivate Magearna and happily hugged it as she got her wish to be its friend. Lillie even had Magearna accompany her and her family on their journey to find her long lost father.

Biography

Lillie has a wealthy family as her mother owned the Aether Foundation along with an older brother named Gladion. Lillie became close friends with the family butler Hobbes and her mother's Pokémon. Also, Lillie had a lot of fun moments with her family but then her mother got busy with her work thus couldn't entirely spend time with them. Her father Mohn later went missing in an Ultra Wormhole when she and Gladion were very young, so both had a blurry remembrance of him. At one point, Lillie was taken by her mother Lusamine from her mansion on Melemele Island.[2] Then one day, Lillie was in the basement of the Aether Foundation where she was looking for her mother then she saw Faba opening a Ultra Wormhole where an Ultra Beast, Nihilego, came out and attacked her. When Gladion arrived, as he was looking for her, he could only observe the event, as he was not brave enough to defend her, and Lillie was terrified. Suddenly, a Silvally arrived, which defeated the Ultra Beast which also saved Lillie in the process then caught her when she was falling, after passing out. While Lillie lost her memory of the encounter and became scared of Pokémon, Gladion took the Silvally as his own Pokémon, and swore to protect his sister. When she came back to Melemele Island, Lillie enrolled to the Pokémon School there, as she wanted to learn more about Pokémon despite her fears.
