Earl life

Arrival at New Zack Island: Marie Rose, a servant of Lady Helena, was told by her mistress to go on vacation. Although hesitant to leave her duties, Marie Rose agreed to make the best of the situation and have a vacation. Sixth Dead or Alive Tournament: While preparing for the Sixth Dead or Alive tournament, Helena met with Marie Rose and requested that she undergo a task of vital importance. Though hesitant, Marie Rose proved herself capable and was entrusted to look after a participant from the previous tournament, Honoka. Sometime later, Hayate arrived on the Freedom Survivor and was denied entry by Marie Rose until Helena explicitly told her that he was invited. Later, Marie Rose witnessed Helena's meeting with Hayate, including his recognition of someone among DIG. After Hayate left, Marie Rose informed Helena that she had arranged a suite room in New York for Honoka and herself. She also let slip that Zack's sudden departure involved a new girlfriend. Arrival at the Venus Islands Similar to on New Zack Island, Marie Rose accompanied Helena to the Venus Islands. Unlike before, however, she had her own personal motives for partaking in the vacation and ultimately, in participating in the Venus Festival. After Helena told Marie Rose to go out and play for most of the vacation, Marie Rose wanted to prove to Helena that she was not to be treated like a child. She initially planned on having the vacation by herself due to it being what most adults do, but she quickly got bored when she met the Owner. After learning of the Venus Festival, she then got the idea of participating in it and winning top prize as her way of proving to Helena of her true status as an adult, and eagerly requested that the Owner help her in that goal under the condition that he not treat her like a child.

Marie Rose is the shortest female fighter in the Dead or Alive series, standing at only 147 cm (4' 10"), with a small frame. She has fair skin, light blonde, bottom-length hair that's held up in twin-pigtails (Her hair is possibly much longer due to the fact that she seems to wrap up the base of her twin-tails) with black ribbons and dark blue eyes. She is able to wear her hair down in Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 and a few outfits in Last Round, but like Kasumi her hair is drastically shorter; it comes down to about mid-back level and is somewhat thinner. Aside from this, she also has a variant of her trademark twin-tails where they are depicted as high twin ponytails, as well as having a singular ponytail from the back and having her hair stylized in twin buns. She appears very childlike, and looks younger than her actual age of 18. Her initial design is inspired by Gothic Lolita Fashion, displayed by her default costume which is a modified strapless maid dress, with arm sleeves. Her other alternate outfits are quite modest, with a lot of Gothic Lolita implements; platform heeled shoes, black nail polish, Gothic arm accessories, and frequent use of the colors black and white are recurring elements in her additional outfits. Her ribbons are also always black, with the choice of pointed or tied ribbons, or a black and white bonnet. While her revealing outfits are sexualized significantly (like the other female fighters' costumes), her outfits are mostly skirts, and aside from her bloomers in her signature Gothic Lolita dress, her underwear are basically the same as the other girls. With the exception of her Hot Summer swimwear, the swimsuits she gains in Dead or Alive 5 Last Round are generally one-piece suits, including a sukumizu. Marie Rose possesses the smallest bust out of all the female characters in the series, a direct contrast to her friend and rival Honoka who possesses the largest bust, which was even the subject of a pun in their Japanese tag team intro. personality

Through Dead or Alive 6's story, Marie Rose is shown to be both devoted and loyal, seen in how she behaves towards Helena who she is a servant to, and Honoka who she befriends during the course of their time together. She is also caring and protective as she tried to prevent Hayate from seeing Helena despite him being requested by Helena himself, and she was also quick to try to fight Bayman when she was separated from Honoka in the M.I.S.T. Labs, proving that she isn't afraid to take on danger of any size if it means protecting those she's attached or loyal to. On the other hand, Marie Rose can act very childish and doesn't seem to take losing lightly; she appears to be crying on the ground like a little girl when she loses a match, but if watched long enough, she lifts her face out of her hands before resuming her apparently fake crying. Ironically, despite her often acting childish, Xtreme Venus Vacation reveals that she hates being compared to a child, mistaken for one, or treated like one. She also has little problem with wearing some revealing outfits, although she does have her limits, as during a Cover Girl photo op, even she was ashamed at having to show a significant amount of herself to Helena when she alongside Kasumi had to do a very suggestive "prayer pose" near the god statue, and she also objected to her Davi outfit's more revealing alternate form. She also at times tends to get distracted by other activities over obligations, as evidenced by how she got herself and Kasumi late for a meeting with the Owner by choosing to get a tan. Aside from this, Marie Rose also tends to speak in a very formal manner, owing to her background as one of Helena's servants, although it's implied she has trouble avoiding acting formally to others in situations not requiring it, such as when on vacation. Marie Rose purports to not care too much about her lack of physical development in comparison to the other females in the series.

Etymology and Concept Marie is French in origin, and is the french version of "Mary", whose meaning and origin are unclear. Rose is the name of a flower which comes in a variety of colors, each color having a different meaning.
