Ben 10,000 had remained arrogant and happy until he was 20 years old. [DJW 6] Details about what happened that caused his change are still unclear, but it caused him to become strict, cynical, and distant from his family for several years before he finally lightened up.

At some point after his change of heart, Ben 10,000 would develop a dual Omnitrix system called the Biomnitrix [DJW 7] with the help of his most intelligent aliens. [DJW 8] He also began participating in the Time War, during which he accidentally cut off Professor Paradox's right arm. [DJW 9] </ p > < p > In preparation for his son's tenth birthday, Ben used his most intelligent aliens to create a replica of the Omnitrix. However, sometime after his birthday, Ben took the Omnitrix from him for going on an unauthorized mission. [DJW 10]
