Darkar is a villain who managed to subdue the Ancient Witches and order them to destroy the Dominoes. He is the human embodiment of the power of the Dark Phoenix. Darkar can transform into a formidable phoenix with huge wings with tremendous destructive power. In human form, it looks like a skeleton in armor. The story of Darkar begins long before the action of the animated series, when Domino still existed. The Dark Phoenix subdued the forces of evil, which were the ancient witches, and turned their power to Dominoes. Nevertheless, despite the destruction of Bloom's homeland, Darkar failed when the lord of the Templars came out against him and defeated him, thereby putting the villain into a long sleep. Therefore, using cunning and the gift of foresight, Darkar found out when the pixies would leave their city and become defenseless and easily discovered, and it was at this moment that his dark creatures kidnapped the inhabitants of the city and dragged them to their master's fortress[4]. In his castle, Darkar imprisons pixies in a kind of barrier from which they cannot escape in order to further torture and thereby obtain information about the city and the code. However, following in the footsteps of his creatures, Layla arrives at the citadel and confronts Phoenix, unsuccessfully trying to save Pixie. The villain overpowers the fairy and throws her into his dungeon, and he goes to the pixies to continue the torture.[4] Nevertheless, Layla gets out and kidnaps Pixie from the cage, trying to escape. Darkar first directs his creatures at the fairy, but anticipating their possible failure, he goes to his escaping prisoners, deals with Layla, throws her off a cliff into an underground lake (confidently believing that Layla will die) and takes pixies, from whom he begins to take away magical power as punishment and torment in order to find out everything what they know. And yet, pixies are not amenable.
