Although not much is known about his early life Castiel, as an angel, has been around for millions, if not billions of years. He watched as the first fish emerged from the ocean. Even Metatron hinted that Castiel has "been around since scaly things came out of the dirt." [1] Naomi also once said that Castiel, as she put it, "has been unstable in the past." [2] Furthermore, discussions with Uriel suggest that the couple were children by Angel standards when Lucifer rebelled against Heaven and refused to bow to humanity. While his brother was captivated by Lucifer's power and charisma, Castiel recalled being frightened and disturbed by the rebellious Archangel.
