Summary

Theodore Pierce (better known as Teddy) is seventeen years old and is the main protagonist of The Christmas Chronicles and a major character in the sequel. He is Kate Pierce's older brother.

Plot

Teddy starts off as someone who doesn't really believe in Santa Claus, and almost tells Kate that Santa doesn't exist at first. He went out with his friends and stole cars. Kate caught it and videotaped it, almost telling her mother. When he was younger, he seemed a little reluctant about Christmas, but he followed the traditions. After his father died, he completely stopped believing in Santa. The theme of him wanting to say something to his father persists throughout the film, and he is portrayed as bitter about the fact that his father was killed by some random strangers. Teddy is shown to have a difficult relationship with his sister, hurting his daughter to prevent Kate from following him (his mother wanted them to get along for Christmas). But, when Kate sees the sleigh and jumps on it, Teddy jumps in next. his. Santa discovers them and they travel miles away. Santa loses his hat, pretending that it is the source of his magical abilities. They also lose the sack of presents, when Santa loses control over the reindeer after being surprised by Teddy and Kate in the sleigh. Santa Claus is angry at them and tells them that they will be on the naughty list forever and that their attempt to fly "fails" due to his missing hat. Although Teddy wants to return home, his sister eventually convinces him to help save Christmas. They enter a bar where Santa talks to a waitress in hopes of getting his car. After discovering that the waitress doesn't have a car, he continues to ask other people at the bar, but none of them agree to help him. Santa sees the waiter, a gruff man with a criminal record: Mikey. He angers the waiter and the three escape from him with the help of the waitress they liked earlier. Teddy steals the keys to the waiter's car (which is stolen), much to Kate's dismay. They barely escape Mikey, but attract the attention of other police officers. Santa orders Kate to find the reindeer, which buys her some time

Plot 2

, which gives him some time with Teddy. When the police stop the car, Teddy tries to take the blame, but things don't go according to plan. He sees his sister coming with reindeer, stopping her from falling off one. They find the gift bag, Kate enters the gift bag, also known as Santa's workshop. Meanwhile, Teddy is caught screaming inside the sack of gifts and is taken away by the gang members. The elves help Teddy and Kate escape, breaking Santa out of jail. They distribute the gifts and finally return home. As a gift from Santa, he receives a Christmas ornament, where Teddy's face transforms into his father's, and they both tell them that they are proud of each other. He asked Santa to see his father

Teddy is older than Kate. He seems to have a good relationship with his parents, but he does not fully believe in Santa Claus. (via video tapes)

Personality

While he doesn't tend to show it, he cares deeply for his sister. Teddy is brave and brave, mischief doesn't seem to be a problem for him. He has a deep sense of guilt (although the antics don't seem to give him any guilt) and empathy. He is willing to do a lot for the people he cares about.
