cleaning days

every two weeks on a friday, a member of the community will ring a bell at 8 am, and bring out trash bags provided by the city. everyone is expected to gather any non salvagble materials and throw them in the bags, unless the items have sentimental value.

arena nights

every week on Friday afternoon/ night there are 'arena nights'. these are a form of entertainment and stress relive in the community. a member of the community can put their names on tha ballets for fighting, art, or poetry tournaments. the most popular one is the fighting tournament, in which the raigning champion gets one of the more luxurious shelters in the community.

champions domicile

the winner of the fighting tournaments gets this domicile for as long as their champions. it's located in an alcove of a building, meaning it has 3 cement walls, a roof, electricity, a window, a scrap metal wall amd a door. it also includes a queen sized bed thst still has everything in it.

miss k

miss k (no one knows her real name) is the closest thing to a leader the community has. she is a fifty somthing year old woman who uses a staff to help her walk. it's made of twisted metal and decorated with colored glass. she us kind, sweet, and is sometimes fondly described as a 'sassy bitch' by city workers.

sponsorship

any new member of the community goes through a consideration phase. sponsorship is a way to hasten that by allowing an already existing member to vouch for the newbie.

layout

the community exists in a two lane wide alleyway downtown of some huge city. the government allows it to exists because they clean the streets. the community goes up 3 stories, and has all the amenities of its own small town, including grocery, butchers, library's, and workshops. all these things are built with scavenged materials from across the city.
