Kiyotaka is a young man of average height with brown hair, brown eyes, and a light complexion. He is usually seen wearing the standard school uniform. When outside of school, he wears a white hoodie over a green shirt with an orange stripe along with brown pants. He is also seen wearing a blue vest over a white shirt and brown pants.

Background:

Almost everything about his life prior to the entrance exams is unknown. However, during a flashback, it was shown that Kiyotaka was part of a group of children involved with an unknown organization called the White Room, headed by his father. He seemed to have maintained his stoic expression even as a child, as he showed no emotion and glared when another child, situated to his left, had difficulty breathing and likely fainted for unknown reasons.[3] There was also a time when an adult approached him and told him that those who do not reveal their talents are fools.[9] During his time there, Kiyotaka underwent various training regiments, presumably including martial arts, while taking heavy and challenging written exams that granted him extreme physical abilities and mental prowess. As time passed, more children began to suffer like the previous child, leaving him as the sole survivor of the group. His training led him to believe that all humans are nothing more than tools and that victory is the only thing that matters in the world. With this view, he was determined to win no matter what and sacrifice anything or anyone to achieve his goal of obtaining victory.[11] At some point, the White Room was temporarily closed for a year. This gave Kiyotaka the opportunity to escape with the help of his butler, Matsuo, who told him to enroll in Metropolitan High School of Advanced Education, a place his father could not afford and would allow him to lead a normal school life. Kiyotaka took the entrance exams to enter the high school and scored exactly 50 out of 100 points in each subject. Some people insinuated that this act was done on purpose, just to avoid unwanted attention from the school, which Kiyotaka denied by stating that it was merely a coincidence. In the manga, he stated that
