Miguel O'Hara is a young scientist of Mexican/Irish origin who worked for the Alchemax corporation on a project to create genetically enhanced human beings, inspired by the abilities of the 21st century Spider-Man. He adopts the secret identity of Spider-Man after accidentally gaining superhuman powers.

Conchata O'Hara, Miguel's mother, had an extramarital affair with Tyler Stone, the head of Alchemax, without her husband George ever finding out. As a result, Conchata became pregnant and gave birth to Miguel as if he were the natural son of her marriage to George. A few years later, Gabriel was born, the first and last child of the O'Hara couple. Miguel soon demonstrated to have an IQ above the norm, so, despite his wife's opposition, George decided to tell Stone so that he would agree to enroll him in a school for gifted children. Stone, knowing that Miguel was his son, agreed and the boy entered the school run by Angela Daskalakis. At school he met Kron Stone.

Alchemax

What an intense story! It seems that Miguel has been through a series of truly shocking events at Alchemax. His rise within the corporation, Tyler's pressure, the disastrous experiment with the human subject, the tragic transformation of the transgenic creature, Tyler's manipulation with the drug and the genetic transmuter, Aaron's sabotage, the explosion, Miguel's transformation into something more than human, the confrontation with Aaron, and the escape from the Public Eye agents. What dramatic twists and turns in Miguel's life! It seems that Miguel has experienced a series of drastic changes in his life, both physically and emotionally. Tyler's betrayal and Aaron's jealousy have led Miguel to face extreme situations and discover new abilities within himself. Now, Miguel finds himself in a situation of flight and uncertainty, not knowing what the future holds for him after the events in Alchemax.

Spiderman

Tyler, thinking Spider-Man was Aaron Delgado, sent Venturr, one of his best agents, to capture him. The cyborg followed Miguel's heat trails to his apartment. Luckily, Miguel saw him coming from the window of his building, so he decided to disguise himself with a suit he had made of unstable molecules that he had bought during the Day of the Dead carnival in Mexico. As Spider-Man, he managed to defeat Venture and leave him badly damaged despite his inexperience in the use of his powers. This incident allowed Gabriel to realize his brother's identity, but he kept it a secret. Shortly afterward, Kasey Nash, the girl Gabriel was dating, was captured by the Specialist, an agent of Stark-Fujikawa, and taken to the Alchemax building for interrogation due to her subversive activities. Gabriel asked his brother for help in freeing Kasey. However, Kasey coincidentally managed to escape on her own and took Miguel hostage. Thanks to this situation, Kasey was able to easily escape from the Public Eye agents and flee. But the Specialist reappeared, so Spider-Man's intervention was necessary. The fight was tough, but Spider-Man finally managed to defeat his enemy, accidentally cutting his throat with his spurs on his fingers. The Public Eye cornered him and Sergeant Estevez, against orders, ordered him to open fire.

Miguel fell into Downtown, the uncorporated suburbs of New York City where street gangs reigned without the control of the Public Eye. Tyler, obsessed with capturing Spider-Man, sent a squad of Public Eye after him. Miguel barely survived the fall and the gunfire of the agents thanks to his powers and his new healing ability. There he received assistance from Doctor Morrow, a Thorite (a religious fanatic who preaches on the streets the advent of the legendary Thor), since Spider-Man was beginning to be considered a symbol against corporate repression by that sect. The agents eventually found him and would have captured him had it not been for the intervention of the Vulture, the leader of the Freakers, a gang operating in Downtown. The Vulture intended for Spider-Man to join his gang in order to fight Alchemax and take control of the upper part of New York. However, seeing his carnage and cannibalistic tendencies, Spider-Man opposed the Vulture, whom he defeated after a hard battle. As Spider-Man continued his opposition to Alchemax, a faction of Thorites took him as a symbol of opposition to the corporate regime and worshipped him, adopting costumes similar to those of the real Spider-Man. While as Miguel he resumed his work in the corporation with the goal of recovering his original appearance. During this period, Jordan Boone, another brilliant researcher, who had not been as successful as Miguel in his work, joined their section. Boone's field of research was multidimensional space based on the previous work of Reed Richards.

One day, Miguel woke up in the present. There he met Mary Jane Watson, the wife of his predecessor at the time. Investigating in the Daily Bugle, Miguel discovered that that day marked the beginning of the end of the Heroic Age as a result of the activities of the Fujikawa company. After a fight with Venom, Miguel reunited with Peter Parker. They both traveled to the year 2211 and fought the Hobgoblin of that time. Thanks to the help of that year's Spider-Man, the Hobgoblin was defeated and both Spider-Men were returned to their correct time.

Spider-Man vs Thanatos

A few weeks later, Miguel witnessed Thanatos, a powerful and mysterious character dressed as a Greek, endangering Dana when he went after Tyler. So he decided to intervene as Spider-Man. Thanatos, who knew about Boone's research, forced Tyler to take him to the dimensional research center. There, an incident occurred that brought back the Prophet and Thanatos ended up lost in another dimension. Spider-Man later reunited with Thanatos, who transported him, Captain Marvel, and Starfox from Earth-616 to Earth-9200, a future ruled by Maestro. Thanks to the actions of that universe's Rick Jones, Miguel was returned to his universe safely.
