Personality

Shota is a very severe and mostly reserved man who has high expectations of his students. Logic primarily drives him and he does not believe in the need to maintain a clean appearance or filter his words or ideas to others. He often appears cold, apathetic and impatient, drawing very little energy in most situations, preferring to take naps in his sleeping bag. As a teacher of high expectations, Shota is known for expelling students he deems unsuitable for U.A Academy, although it is notable that he has yet to expel any students from Class 1-A despite being known for doing so. . He can be rigid and strict when necessary and also has little tolerance for disobedient behavior. Shota is not afraid to put his students through rigorous training and often, he pushes the nastier parts of heroism so that his students can surpass his limits. Shota has proven to be very vocal and fearless when expressing his ideas. . He has mentioned on several occasions that some of the U.A. Despite his apathetic traits, Shota truly cares about his students and will go to great lengths to protect them, such as while saving Tsuyu Asui from Tomura Shigaraki despite her serious injuries. He has also expressed his belief in his students on multiple occasions and trusts that even the likes of Katsuki Bakugo will not be influenced by villains. Shota and Hizashi used to be teammates class at UA and were good friends for a long time. Hizashi even came up with the hero name "Eraser Head".
