Appearance

Trunks' hair is traditionally colored lavender, but since Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, Toriyama has colored it a light blue palette, the same palette used in the Dragon Ball Super manga. He has blue eyes like his mother, though his eyes are similar in shape to his father's, as are his facial features and tanned skin. His hair and eyes turn blonde and green respectively when he becomes a Super Saiyan. As a child, he is 129 cm tall and weighs 30 kg. Trunks in the Buu Monster Arc wears a dark green martial arts suit, an orange belt, orange wristbands, and the same gold boots worn by Future Trunks. In Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, Trunks wears a dark blue shirt covered by a sleeveless light blue jumpsuit that is held up with button suspenders, as well as yellow spiked boots and black ankle and burgundy wrist guards. In Dragon Ball Super, he usually wears a yellow zip-up jacket, blue jeans, mustard-colored boots with black ankle boots and toes, and red wristbands. In the Battle of Gods Arc, he attends his mother's birthday wearing a green Hawaiian shirt with a yellow cayenne flower print on it, an orange T-shirt underneath, shorts, and brown shoes. He later returns to wearing his training attire. In Dragon Ball Super: Broly, he wears a white short-sleeved shirt covered by yellow overalls with brown straps, a belt of the same color, and cyan wristbands. In Dragon Ball GT he wears a black shirt with a brown-gray jacket and shorts, as well as using the same shoes.

personality

As a child, Trunks displays a personality very similar to Vegeta's, whom he respects and sees as a role model. He is very proud of his father and from an early age trains to be as strong as him. Despite his training with Vegeta, he has not yet mastered basic things like tracking the enemy using his ki, because he prefers to spend more time with Bulma. His best friend is Goten and together they enjoy training, games and pranks, even keeping the secret for some time that they can turn into Super Saiyans. Despite being a year older, Trunks is more mature than Goten and always manages to make him believe him and follow his games. In the films it is shown that he would like to have an older brother, with Tapion assuming the role for a short time. He refuses to respect someone he doesn't like, a characteristic he shares with his father, such as when he sees Goku for the first time, although he later changes his mind when he sees him transformed into a Super Saiyan 3. In the World Martial Arts Tournament he is seen the same as his father, fighting calmly and insulting his rivals, except against Goten. He often demonstrates his high scientific knowledge, a characteristic he obtained from his mother and grandfather. His favorite food is grilled meat and he enjoys car racing. Due to growing up in a peaceful and carefree world, Trunks is very different from his future counterpart. They also have a bit of a difference in personality, while Present Trunks is cocky and arrogant like his father, Future Trunks is not, becoming less so after Future Bulma's death. Another major difference is that Future Trunks is able to see through enemy tactics and adapt to game strategies, something Present Trunks is not able to do in Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, or Dragon Ball GT.

personality

For a long time it was unknown how Trunks would react to meeting Future Trunks until finally in Dragon Ball Super, both present and future Trunks meet and greet each other when Bulma explains the situation. When Future Trunks participated in a sparring match against Goku, present Trunks cheered for him, also being impressed by his great power. After Goku Black destroyed the time machine, Future Trunks was stuck in the past. Trunks tries to make his future self feel better until Bulma discovers a way back to the future, by finding a capsule with the Time Machine that Cell used when he came from the future in hopes that it would work. Trunks slowly begins to grow jealous of his adult self, due to Mai falling head over heels for him. Trunks then tries to win Mai's affections by acting like his future counterpart, but fails. Finally, when Future Trunks explains his world to the present, the latter begins to show great respect and concern for his counterpart, loving him as if he were his older brother. At the end of the manga and in Dragon Ball GT, he is shown to have a personality more similar to that of his future counterpart, appearing much calmer, responsible and well-mannered, unlike when he was a child. However, here he has adopted an unpleasant attitude towards battles, but retains some of his power. His intelligence is greater than that seen in his other self, but it is not enough to compare to Bulma's. At the end of Dragon Ball Z, he wears clothes very similar to his future counterpart, but in GT he wears somewhat ambiguous clothes, denoting a certain unkempt appearance, unlike his friend Goten, who uses more vivid colors.

Trunks (トランクス, Torankusu?) is a half-blood human-Saiyan born on Earth, the son of Bulma and Vegeta, who is introduced in the Androids and Cell Arc. Later in his life as a young man, he ends up becoming a martial artist, the best friend of Son Goten and the older brother of his sister Bra.
