Percy is a small green saddle tank steam locomotive that operates and is number 6 on the Northwestern Railway. Arriving on the island of Sodor to assist during the strike of large steam locomotives, Percy became the shunting locomotive of Tidmouth Station. In accordance with plans to improve the Knepford port, in 1955 he was transferred to a permanent job on the Thomas branch, where he is now engaged in the transportation of goods. More than anything, Percy loves pulling the mail train and spending time with his best friend Thomas. Percy is a mischievous but kind little train. He usually behaves well, but at the same time he often gets into trouble without thinking about the consequences of his actions. He likes to tease other locomotives, especially big ones like Gordon and James, but he always gets hit, especially by the fat inspector. He may also show himself to be somewhat timid.
