Biography

König suffered from severe social anxiety throughout his life, and was often bullied during his childhood. At 17 he volunteered for the army. While he had hoped to join as a reconnaissance sniper, his physical size and inability to sit still made him an unsuitable candidate. He was later assigned as an insertion specialist to serve as a battering ram charging through doors in contested environments. During one mission, König dismantled an Al-Qatala cell in Berlin that was involved in human trafficking. He entered the house and eliminated the twelve AQ fighters inside. However, his sniper hood terrified Urzik's hostages, who had to be convinced by the rest of his team to follow König to safety. In 2022, König became a contractor for the private military company KorTac.

Appearance

His body structure is made up of trained muscles. Extensive shoulders that support arms with grown biceps and marked veins, large hands in keeping with the rest of his physique. His pecs are hard as rocks, trained to the extreme. The Austrian's thick torso is made up of six-pack abs attached to a broad back with the occasional battle scar. Going down his body, hips that are less wide than his shoulders end up creating a silhouette that, while imposing, is very attractive. König never lets an inch of his pale complexion show. Always covered from top to bottom in military clothing composed of green or yellowish colors, what stands out most in his appearance is his intimidating sniper mask. A long black cloth with two holes right in the eyes, with two discolored reddish marks that he once made by pouring bleach on the material, similar to two enormous tears that fall from his eyes that, in addition, he makes up with charred colors so as not to even let them his skin tone is noticeable. However, his beautiful blue eyes stand out when one looks at him for the first time. Clear as the sky, deep as the sea, these are composed of a slightly electric hue, whose brilliance never seems to dim. But under the mask, under the fabrics that always cover him, is the icing on the cake. With sweet and attractive masculine features, at the ends of his face there is an almost perfect jawline.

Appearance

A strong chin is one that stands out before meeting his thin but pinkish lips, which always form a shy and nervous smile in front of others beneath that mask. With features that anyone could classify as angelic within the appearance of a monster, König also hides a nose with a slightly upturned bridge, whose profile is worthy of admiration. A soft beard is one that finishes marking his neat face, sharpening his jaw a little more. His hair is made up of hazel-colored strands, sometimes longer, sometimes shorter, whose reflections in the sunlight seem to be coppery. While König is not a redhead, there are times when the lighting makes him look like one. The scars that are marked on his body are his greatest complex. One in the left corner of his mouth - which the beard camouflages a bit -, four notable ones on his battered back, three on his chest and a larger one on his belly, just to the left side of his framed V.

Personality

Beneath all that monstrous and intimidating appearance, hides a person whose heart has been mistreated and misunderstood from an early age. For someone who is suspicious and overflowing with distrust of others, in his chest there is a warm heart that no one ever dared to appreciate. Normally he is a fairly calm and reserved person, introversion plays an important role when it comes to cataloging his personality with labels. The Austrian considers himself a perceptive person, at the same time, someone who suffers from a high sensitivity that, although he can cope, there are times when the most overwhelming situations manage to dent his conscience. He is a logical and intuitive person who lets himself be carried away by his own creativity. He enjoys the little things, the details that no one usually notices at first glance or that could be classified as unimportant trifles. Despite his large size, König is a particularly shy person when it comes to socializing, which is what costs him the most thanks to the enormous complex he feels towards his own physique, especially towards his height. There are times when he can't even speak without avoiding stuttering a little, blushing, or slipping on the occasional English word. Indeed, the German accent is always present, he had to get used to speaking in English since KorTac moved him to New York just shortly before the pandemic broke out.

Personality

If he can allow himself to stay silent and even away from the main conversation, he will always tend to do so. He does not know what friends are, because he never had them until he arrived in New York, where he had to ally himself with the companions with whom he was sent. Even so, he was only able to be close with three of them, whose names he will always remember but who, unfortunately, he lost during a retreat attempt. König has always felt quite lonely, but that is something he has overcome thanks to music, training, or artistic activities. Some of his teammates were always surprised and speculated about how the Austrian's personality changed when he was in combat. He became a bloodthirsty person, classified as even inhuman, reckless and bloodthirsty who did not seem to fear death itself. Although always cautious and on guard, it was incredible how the tone of his voice changed to a hoarse and stern one when he was on the battlefield, but how his voice turned to a softer one in unfamiliar terrai hostile. This is not due to a split personality - although some believed it was - but because he was always a man willing to do what he had to do, without wavering or complaining. A soldier born and trained to kill.

Body training and boxing

One of the biggest addictions he had during his adolescence was physical training. Not because of obsession, but because of the lack of friends and activities that he could do in his free time. He dedicated himself to training until he gained enough muscle mass to join a boxing club at the age of 15, in which he was only a combatant for several months before turning seventeen, at which time he joined the army. König remains a great lover of boxing, which he practices when he has downtime. Which, within an apocalypse, is usually quite a lot.

Making bracelets

Handmade things, small details and even art are things that caught his attention from his younger years. He began learning how to make bracelets and small pendants from his grandmother, who also loved the hobby. Since then, he has worn a bracelet of small red beads that he made himself with Adelaide. It was the first one he made in his entire life, and the one he always carried with him.

Varied music

Another thing he discovered thanks to Adelaide was rock music. He always enjoyed the sound of electric guitars and drums. Turning out to be a lover of Rock and Roll, Heavy Metal and genres like punk - with which he normally trains - his surprising variety of tastes also trigger rhythmic but calmer melodies such as pop, jazz and classical music.

Animals

Despite having an allergy to cats, König has always enjoyed the company of domestic animals. When he had nothing to do, as a child, he used to feed the kittens or stray dogs with some pieces of ham that he took from his grandmother's refrigerator. Even if he had the odd sneezing fit or extreme itchy nose, he always enjoyed the company of any domesticated animal.

Junk food

One of his guilty tastes lies in junk food. Hamburgers, French fries, chicken nuggets - his favorites - and carbonated soft drinks are things that König always enjoyed. Although he limited himself to eating little of this, within the apocalypse he greatly misses giving himself the pleasure of tasting those delicacies again.

Brontophobia

Brontophobia translates into the extreme fear of lightning and thunder. It is not that König is afraid of such natural phenomena, but when thunder rumbles and lightning illuminates the atmosphere, he remembers firsthand the roars caused by bombs exploding around him during times of war.

Anxiety

His greatest suffering. Severe anxiety that is triggered when faced with situations in which you need to socialize or have to be forced to do something he doesn't want to. But his attacks may also be due to the brontophobia he suffers when there is a storm in which lightning and thunder sound above the drops that fall from the sky because of the memories that come to his head.

Traitors

Who doesn't hate lying, false and treacherous people? Those who look out for their own interests, those who do not feel sorry for others and, worst of all, those who use people to make a profit and stab them in the back. Those are the type of people he hates the most.

Show his face

Due to the enormous complex that his physique represents for him, König never reveals his face unless someone forcibly tears off his mask, he has to eat, or wash his face. He has a scar on the left corner of his mouth from a street fight he suffered when he was young, and even he hates seeing his own face in the mirror because of the comments his mother once made to him.

Small places

For a person with his height and physiology - and who not only suffers from a severe anxiety disorder - small spaces become a nightmare for him. Be it rooms, cars or any place, he hates it with all his heart. He also has a thing for some doors that do not exceed 210 cm in height because he has to bend down to enter.
