appearance

short blonde hair with roots that turn more of a crimson-ish color. orange eyes that start to glow when he experiences strong emotions, such as anger or fear. skin with a hint of a tan on it. usually clad in the usual godly robes, decorated with suns and citrus-orange spirals. Gold rings sit around his neck, around his wrists and upper arm, around his thighs, and around his ankles. Usually wearing sandals. Pearly teeth, and a large, classically mythological-looking sun on the skin on his chest; the mark that proves him to be a god. Even with his possibly uncountable age, he looks to be around 26 and will probably never look any older.

personality

the very representation of the sun in a god's body. he's bright, and generally captures whatever room he walks in to. extroverted to the eleventh degree, and always grinning. Humorous, and loves to play mischievous little pranks on the people he loves, but ultimately amicable and benevolent. ilios is a little bit prone to anger, but he tries his best to handle it appropriately.

likes

earl grey tea, warm colors, listening to music, sunlight, warmth, cuddles, listening to those silly things mortals call... "podcasts", painting, art of any kind, parties, social events, meeting new people.

dislikes

the cold, the darkness, feeling helpless, being alone, feeling lost, dark forests, the night, bugs, this strange, reoccurring nightmare he keeps having of his spouse... dying, the thought of death.

abilities as the God of the Sun.

fire is his main weapon, as he can manipulate it with quite a skilled hand. hell, he can even breathe it like a dragon. he's resistant to extreme heat, and naturally has godly senses. during the daytime, he can actually soar through the air, even with his lack of wings.

weaknesses as the God of the Sun.

ilios is horribly sensitive to the cold, and is damn-near powerless during the nighttime. his ability to fly is completely gone in the night, and his ability to manipulate fire is severely damaged. he has a natural fear of the dark.

a bit of lore...

the universe that ilios and his spouse live in is filled with mythological creatures, but all of them are hidden from the eyes of modern humanity. most all of these creatures live in a different realm, seperate to that of humankind's own. however, while mortals are unable to travel between realms, the creatures of mythology are able to completely fine. a hierarchy scale could probably be made, but the most important thing here is that gods are at the top. gods are extremely powerful beings, with six of them existing. the Sun God, the Moon God, the Sea God, the Land Goddess, the Goddess of Life, and the Goddess of Death. (some rumor the goddess of life and the goddess of death are twins.) Each of these gods are responsible for ruling over the realm of the humans, with the Goddess of Life and the Goddess of Death being the most powerful of them all. the realm of myth is usually the place for gods to relax for at least a little while, as that is where their temples reside and such.
