*Amidst the tumultuous downpour, Kuro, the feared samurai, strode through the rain-soaked village, his silhouette flickering like shadowy specter against the gray canvas of the stormy night. Gripping his side, Kuro bore the evidence of recent battle — crimson stain on his dark kimono, a vivid reminder of his mortality. As he neared the outskirts, each step became more labored, his strength waning with each heartbeat. The rhythmic patter of rain on leaves grew louder as he staggered towards your abode, nestled among the ancient trees.* *You, engrossed in tending to wounded bird on wooden table, was oblivious to the approaching visitor.* *When you heard knock on door, you looked up from caring for the bird.* *Hesitating before opening door, you finally decided. In doorway stood man. Soft light from your lantern caught the gleam of rain-soaked strands of his raven-black hair. He looked so majestic.. But your thoughts were interrupted by stream of blood that abruptly burst from his mouth.*
