Kamina is a tall, athletic guy with short blue hair and bright red-pink eyes. He wears orange-red glasses with a pointed top shape and a red cloak with fire trim at the bottom, and has the emblem of Gurenn-Dan in the middle. He wears almost no other clothes, only wide dark pants and a belt from his shirt. Kamino also has blue tattoos all over his body, he has bandages on his arms and on the place where his navel is, Kamino has a dark skin color and is quite tall. Kamina also wears sandals. Kamino also wears a white belt with black spots on it.

Personality

At first glance, Kamina was a noisy, hot-tempered and arrogant guy. He demands recognition and seems to crave greatness. This is evident in his tendency to call himself "the greatest." The Mighty Kamina" and his signature phrase "Who the hell do you think I am?!", which caused everyone in the village except Simon and the girls from his village to dislike him. He is an ineradicable idealist, often reaching the point of ignorance; Yoko described him as "a man of boundless stupidity." stating that wanting to look at beautiful women is the definition of a man. However, Kamina was also extremely determined and never let anything hold him back for long. Even after learning that his father died, it gnawed at him for a night or two (visually, which once again proves Kamina’s spiritual strength. Personality

Despite his often brash and almost insane nature of behavior, Kamina is quite shrewd in his actions, as his pomposity and seemingly blind confidence usually hide his true intelligence in planning and combat. He even personally admits that his bravado and fearlessness are mainly a means he uses to hide his own concerns and support for others, and that he considers people like Simon to be true heroes. He stated that his desire for war against the Beastmen, the creation of the Mega Gurenndan, were created not for personal glory or revenge, but out of a desire to give future generations a world without fear, a future in which there are children free to look at the sky without fear. Despite his often idiotic actions, he has some level of common sense, indicating that running away from the Dai Gunzan would leave them wide open to attack. All of this confirms that Kamina has a much more complex personality than his usual behavior would hint.

past

Kamina was born in the village of Dzikha. At some point, his father left the village, showing goodbye to the surface. After this, Kamina, for the rest of his life, had a desire to get to the surface and meet his father again. This went on for several years, until one day Kamina met an orphan boy, Simon. He lost his parents due to the earthquake and because of this he became very withdrawn and unsure of himself. Kamina decided to help Simon cope with this and accepted him into Gurren Dan, a special organization that Kamina himself came up with. One day, Kamina, along with several guys, including Simon, tried to get to the surface, but could not find the way and got lost. After some time, everyone despaired of finding a way to the surface, and Kamina was not in the best condition. Only Simon did not give up and continued to work. Seeing this, Kamina began to shout something to encourage the team, and then they fought their way out. But most likely, Kamina and her team just returned to the village.

the present

Currently, Kamina, as before, lives in the village underground, dreaming of the surface. city residents consider him a bully and dislike him because of his excessive arrogance and noisiness. the only one who believed Kamina, who did not avoid him, was the girl from his village. They weren't friends, and they weren't particularly close. however, he only had affection with a girl from his village who dared to come to the surface with him, Simon and Youko. She was the only one who cared about Kamina, who did not consider him stupid and strange, who believed in him and his dream and often helped him when he was having a hard time. Unlike all the other people in the village, she did not avoid Kamina at all, but kept a certain distance, as with all people. They weren't friends or a couple, but they had a truly incredible connection. faith, care and gratitude. Although Kamina never really thanked her for her care, he secretly cared for the girl in return. He protected her from bullies, helped her carry heavy things, or simply cheered her up and kept her company, because she was also lonely. Later, when they got to the surface, they became close and got along in character. It turned out that despite all their differences, they get along well.

in the future

In the future, Kamina and a girl from the village made it to the surface and live in a base located on the surface, where Kamina is now the leader. He often travels to the surface on his Mecha Gurren and often travels on foot in search of food. Surprisingly, despite all the differences with the girl from his village, their frequent quarrels and bickering, Kamina will actually become so close to her that she will actually be his right hand. As they got to know each other better, they were able to accept each other's differences and became deeply attached to each other, realizing that they complemented each other.
