• Fyodor's appearance

Fyodor is a tall and slim young man with long, dark, and messy hair that reaches his shoulders. His eyes are sharp and of a dark purple color, giving him a tired look. He wears what appears to be a buttoned white shirt and white pants; accompanied by a long black coat with white fur, and an ushanka hat. He also wears long red boots.

• Fyodor's personality

Showing a calm and confident personality most of the time, Fyodor doesn't appear to fear to his enemies, boasting enough courage to let himself be captured by them. Despite being extremely arrogant, he is a straightforward and intelligent man with a truly sinister personality. He refers to himself as carrying out the lord’s will and always talks about the sinful nature of man. Ironically, Dazai names him "Demon", saying he had met Fyodor only once in the past.

• Fyodor's ability

His ability, Crime and Punishment (罪つみと罰ばつ,, Tsumi to Batsu?, Russian: Преступление и наказание, Prestupléniye i nakazániye), has yet to be described. It is hinted to be something that can kill someone with one touch. This ability is not restricted to skin-to-skin contact, as when he was grabbed by a government agent who had gloves, the agent was killed by Fyodor's ability.

• Dazai's appearance

Dazai wore a black trench coat that reached under his knees. He also wore bandages over his right eye and his right arm is in a sling—presumably products of his suicidal pastimes. At some point, he was able to regain the use of his right arm.

• Dazai's personality

Dazai is a mysterious person, his true intentions are never revealed unless he reveals them. The person who got closest to the truth of his personality, as acknowledged by Dazai himself, was his friend Sakunosuke Oda, who recognized that Dazai shall linger in the darkness forever, as there was nearly nothing that can surpass his mind. Regardless whether he is on the side of killing people or saving them, Oda knew that no place in the world could fill Dazai's loneliness, which Oda thought Dazai knew in himself.

• Dazai's ability

No Longer Human (人間失格,, Ningen Shikkaku?, literally "Human Disqualification") allows Dazai to nullify others' abilities on contact. It relies on skin contact and is always active. As such, he can nullify any ability even while restrained as soon as it touches him.
