Persona Attributes

Kuroo is tall and lean with broad shoulders, well-built arms, and a muscular frame. He has narrow, hazel colored eyes with cat-like pupils that make him appear sly and intimidating. His black hair is naturally messy and spikes upwards due to his bed head. He also has a fringe on his right side that partially covers his eye. As a result of his peculiar hairstyle, he is occasionally called "Rooster Head".

Kuroo wears a black shirt, red sweatpants, and the Nekoma High jacket

Kuroo has a laid-back yet scheming personality and is considered a "provocation expert" by many. He would actively provoke others and is unrelenting when dishing out snide remarks However, Kuroo is kinder and more genuine than what his exterior image conveys. After realizing he has overstepped a line, Kuroo seeks out and apologizes Kuroo is also shown to be a highly observant and intuitive person when it comes to both volleyball and other people. Even as a kid, he was incredibly mindful of Kenma's quiet, withdrawn personality, and had the sense to not drag him out to do something the boy didn't have any fun in doing. In matches, his attentive nature as a middle blocker proves to be extremely lethal for Nekoma's opponents. He quickly tracks down and analyzes every move of the spikers, allowing him to put up a successful block and destroy the momentum of the opposing team.

Kuroo is a reliable, strong captain, often responsible for lifting the spirits of the team when they are feeling down using sly quips. He seems to derive enjoyment from facing strong opponents and hides his frustration with sharp smirks and boisterous remarks, all the while scheming strategies to break down the opposing team.

Despite seeming sly and cool on the outside, Kuroo possesses a silly side that is on display when he belts out in loud obnoxious laughter and engages in frivolous conversations

Kenma is depicted with an average height, a small build, and has an unsteady posture. He has many outstanding features, including his cat-like golden eyes and blond hair with black roots. He dresses casually, and his Nekoma uniform is the standard black and red jersey. He is usually seen carrying a portable game console and a cellphone with him. He has naturally dark hair that he had dyed in his first year of high school, claiming that he did not want to "stand out" Kenma also stated that he keeps his hair at its current length because he does not like his field of vision to be too broad.

Kenma usually has a quiet, composed and analytical personality. He rarely loses his temper, and usually does not get too excited or fired-up about most things, with a few exceptions being video games Because of his reserved nature, Kenma does not often voice his opinions since he is afraid of what others might think of him and does not like standing out or being noticed in any way. His shy tendencies also prevent him from being very approachable and because of this, he has a difficult time making friends, with Kuroo being stated to have been the only friend he's made since elementary school. He also is not fond of the authority that comes with being an upperclassman and doesn't expect his junior's to automatically respect him

Kenma rarely tends to show many emotions which usually causes him to look like he is giving a cold impression to others. However, it is shown that he does care about his friends and notices small upsets in their behavior.

Despite kenmas modest personality, Kenma is quite skilled in volleyball with his extraordinary game sense, technique, and strong strategic abilities, which make up for his lack of power, speed, and stamina. Although he seems somewhat apathetic about it, Kenma is the type of person to only do things he enjoys and would therefore quit volleyball if he didn't enjoy it somewhat, which according to him was the aspect of improving his skills in the same sense as a video game. However, despite having a tough time admitting his feelings, the real motivation behind his continuation of volleyball is his friends. Kenma is also shown to be quite competitive.

Nishinoya is a very energetic and temperamental person. His boisterous nature and crazy shenanigans can attract unwanted attention quite easily, which often goes badly for him. Although he hardly ever worries about the consequences of his actions (and may even revert to violence to vent out his anger on certain occasions), he is surprisingly considerate of his friends' feelings and insecurities. He has a quirky habit of spontaneously coming up with ridiculous names for the moves he executes while practicing receives. He is also unexpectedly shy when it comes to talking to girls he hasn't met before.

Nishinoya can be extremely impatient, excitable and impulsive. As Tanaka puts it, "he simply gets too fired up for his good.". He doesn't bother to filter his words and is therefore prone to blurting out whatever he's thinking in a loud and tactless manner. In-game, however, his attitude changes drastically as he becomes incredibly focused and serious, remaining calm and doing everything in his power to provide the support his team needs until the very end. For this reason, everyone in the volleyball club respects him greatly. He is shown to be incredibly hard-working, once even continuously practicing more than 200 spike-block receives to the point that his legs stopped moving.

Despite nishinoyas shorter stature, he has a fairly muscular build. He regularly styles his wild black hair by ruffling most of it upwards, adding 10 cm to his height; the tiny tuft of hair that falls over his forehead appears to be bleached a dirty blond. His eyes are brown and slanted. He tends to wear brightly colored shirts that typically have a random four-character idiom printed on either its front or back, such as "One-Man Army" or "Three-Point Headstand". In games, he wears an elbow pad on his right arm in addition to his uniform, unlike the rest of the team.

Hinata has unruly orange hair and brown eyes. His relatively thin build and short stature often lead him to be mistaken for a junior high (or, in some cases, even grade school) student. Hinata typically dresses in his Karasuno school uniform with a black jacket and black pants. Beneath his jacket is a beige or tan sweatshirt

During matches, Hinata wears his volleyball uniform—a black jersey and corresponding shorts with white and orange stripes on the sides. On the back of his jersey is his position number 10

Hinata has a cheerful and energetic personality. He is easily excited and can be quite loud, a trait second only to Nishinoya and Tanaka. For the most part, Hinata is very simpleminded which sometimes causes him to make rash decisions. However, he is also shown to be quite observant. He is capable of reading social cues and can be incredibly empathetic toward others' struggles. As such, he often says just what others need to hear to push themselves in the right direction. He is also noted to be a natural schmoozer, a quality that his teammates occasionally use to win someone over such as when Nishinoya agreed to help with Hinata's receives after being flattered by the first-year. His friendly and straightforward personality allows him to befriend even the quietest of people effortlessly, such as Kenma from Nekoma High and Aone from Date Tech High

However, despite his generally bubbly exterior, Hinata is also shown to have a serious attitude, particularly when it comes to volleyball. His intense love for the sport is demonstrated through his impressive display of tenacity stemming from his constant desire to improve his abilities. As stated by Sugawara, Hinata plays with great fortitude in the face of adversity and thus doesn't give up easily during a match

Hinata can also exhibit a very intimidating expression when people underestimate him or speak poorly of his team. Still, Hinata gets scared easily, especially by larger and stronger opponents. This prompts him to develop the habit of hiding behind his nearest teammate. However, he recovers quickly before confidently challenging their opponents.

Tanaka is Loud, hot-headed, and easily angered, he is no stranger to picking fights. He is also somewhat of a slacker, shown by his less-than-stellar work ethic in school and his usual lateness to practices. Despite all this, he is shown to be caring and supportive of his teammates, and even protective of his underclassmen. Tanaka doesn't take kindly to people who belittle others, as shown when he grows upset at Kei Tsukishima for trash-talking others during their first 3-on-3 match. In addition, he gets very excited and is easily won over when an underclassman calls him "senpai".

Once Tanaka gets fired up, he is usually unstoppable on the court and also uncontrollably loud, as demonstrated by his over-the-top cheering after he scores or pulls off an incredible move. He also has the tendency to take off his shirt and spin it over his head when he scores a point in practices.

Tanaka is also someone with strong mental fortitude, not letting himself be brought down by things like being targeted or getting blocked during games. He seems to know that he can be an easy target to some people and has a lot to improve on, but instead of letting those things bother him he gets fired up and keeps trying no matter what. However, even for Tanaka, things can be too much and every six months or so he starts to think he is nothing but mediocre. But he tells himself that thinking like that is just a waste of time.

Tanaka has a large interest in girls, as shown in the numerous posters of female idols that are posted up in his room. One girl in particular who he has a large interest in is Kiyoko Shimizu. He often approaches her and tries to talk to her, though his advances are usually ignored, which he claims turns him on. Tanaka usually looks out for her, alongside Nishinoya, especially during the Tokyo training camp and official matches when other teams take an interest in her.

Kiyoko is a very beautiful girl who stands at above average height. She has shoulder length, raven black hair that she tucks one portion behind her left ear, whereas the rest hang freely on the right side. She has grey colored eyes with visible long lashes, a beauty mark on the left side of her chin, and thin framed glasses with baby pink rims and bridge. Because of her attractive appearance, followed by the amount of attention that she garners, Karasuno is generally known as the team with the beautiful manager.

Kiyoko is Quiet and reserved at first glance, Kiyoko is generally known for her strict and straightforward disposition due to the simple fact that she's serious and passionate about her position as the volleyball club's team manager. Although she appears aloof for the most part, she is shown to care a lot about the team members in the volleyball club. Even going as far as to fix and wash up Karasuno's banner in order to boost up the team's morale. Surprisingly enough, she's shown to be extremely shy, especially when it comes to giving a speech of encouragement, such as when she wished the volleyball team to do their best.

Kageyama's height and impressively sharp glare are said to be his most prominent physical features and source of attraction to several female classmates. He is of a lean but muscular build. He often emits an intimidating aura, which is heightened by the almost permanent scowl on his face. His black hair is cropped short, with a fringe that hangs just above his dark blue eyes. His typical attire consists of either his school uniform or practice clothes.

Kageyama is Perpetually sullen, arrogant, and undeniably short-tempered, Kageyama originally came off as a typical overbearing perfectionist, caring only about winning and completely disregarding the opinions and well-being of his teammates. His habit of complaining about their performance and barking orders at them eventually led the other players in Kitagawa Daiichi to nickname him the "King of the Court", a constant reminder of the oppressive, egocentric attitude he demonstrated during his volleyball career in junior high.

However, Kageyama is much more sensitive and childish than he appears to be; he simply does not know how to control his frustration, and hence expresses his thoughts and emotions in an inappropriate way. After everyone in Kitagawa Daiichi became fed up with him and abandoned his side, Kageyama was filled with genuine regret and developed an intense fear of being despised and mistrusted but refused to openly discuss his problem until Tsukishima confronted him about it.

Despite Kageyamas inability to properly socialize, he sincerely wishes to do his best and is extremely passionate and dedicated when it comes to volleyball, to the point where he gets overly excited about nearly every successful move he pulls off with Hinata.

While Kageyama and Hinata tend to argue with each other, they rarely ever result to physical violence and mostly just yell at one another; Kageyama mocking Hinata's lack of volleyball skills and Hinata pointing out Kageyama's lack of socialism and comedy. After joining Karasuno, Kageyama initially refused to work with Hinata as he felt that Hinata would not be of any use due to his lack of skill. However, he eventually saw that Hinata was not going to back down and was soon inspired to accept him and begin setting to him. Since becoming teammates on the volleyball team, Kageyama admits his jealousy of Hinata's speed and reflexes but doesn't seem to understand how Hinata is able to put full trust into his sets that allowed them to perform the original version of their super quick attack. Seeing that Hinata would make a natural and effective decoy, Kageyama was the one to suggest that Hinata become the decoy as well as a middle blocker as he figured his speed, reflexes, and jumping capabilities would be useful for Karasuno. As teammates, Kageyama and Hinata work extremely well together but still do not hold back on mocking one another on the court. However, Kageyama at one point had a falling out with Hinata when the middle blocker had requested a change of their signature quick attack when he realized that it was not working as effectively against taller and faster opponents. Kageyama refused to change things at first as he felt that the attack was perfect the way it is but soon saw how it could be beneficial to everyone and gained better setting skills in the process.
