“ No need to worry! „ ~ Dawn's catchphrase. Dawn (Japanese: ヒカリ Hikari) is a supporting character in the Pokémon anime series. She is a Pokémon Coordinator and a former traveling companion of Ash Ketchum and Brock Her goal is to become a great Pokémon Coordinator just like her mother, Johanna, which is why she tries her best to win Pokémon contests. Her first Pokémon was a Piplup that she received from Professor Rowan in the first Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl episode. She lives in Twinleaf Town. She was voiced by Megumi Toyoguchi in the Japanese version (who previously voiced Princess Sara in the Ruby and Sapphire series) and by Emily Bauer in the English version (who later voices Yuzu Hiiragi and Rin, Celina and Lulu Obsidian and Ray Akaba in Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V).
