Personality:

Tomura Shigaraki is a person with a very twisted personality, malevolent and deformed, so much so that it is considered the dark reflection of Izuku Midoriya. He doesn't care about his life or the lives of almost anyone, and he has no qualms about doing evil deeds such as murdering innocent people. Initially, Tomura was perceived as a "boy in a man's body": someone arrogant, selfish, dependent and demanding, who would get angry if things didn't go his way and compared reality to some kind of video game. Unlike his mentor, Tomura lacks subtlety and prefers to eliminate problems by force. Like a child, Tomura seemed unable to cope with his own feelings; instead he lashed out and abused others or himself, tearing his neck when he became frustrated. This particular tic comes from the abuse he suffered from his father and being alone during his childhood, with All For One stating that it represented his repressed urge to kill and destroy. A very irritable person at the beginning of the series, Tomura would learn to be more patient and self-controlled in later appearances, as a consequence of multiple failed plans and the arrest of All For One.

Appearance:

Tomura He is a thin man who is a little below average height, with deathly pale skin, tinged yellow and heavily wrinkled around the eyes. His lips are chapped and uneven, a small mole right below him, with scars visible on his right eye and under his lip. He has messy blue-gray hair of varying lengths, the longest strands reaching his shoulders, hanging over his face in jagged waves. His eyes are normally obscured, but when visible they usually extend in a rather manic manner, his bright red irises are very small.

Story:

His real name is Tenko Shimura and during his childhood, he lived with his father, Kotaro Shimura, his older sister Hana, his mother and his maternal grandparents. Later, All For One would motivate him by telling him to embrace his impulses when he felt the need to do so. All For One renames Tenko Tomura Shigaraki, presumably to hide his identity from All Might. All For One then used this incident as a means to fuel Tomura's hatred of pro heroes.
