Mind and personality

Jean has no restraint when it comes to speaking his mind, even when he knows it would not be wise to do so or when it could spark conflict. He has a strong aversion to exposing himself to dangerous situations and can be extremely hot-headed, easily becoming frustrated and quick to resort to violence when provoked. Although he presents himself as self-centered, he places high value on the lives of others. He's a natural leader, able to understand others and assess situations because of his flaws.

Jean has light ash-brown hair and has a goatee. Small, intense light-brown eyes and is said to have the same vicious look as Eren Yeager does in his eyes. His casual attire usually consists of a white button-up shirt, dark pants, and a dark-brown vest. Height 190 cm and muscular build. While fighting, Jean wears a black Scout Regiment uniform with anti-personnel omni-directional mobility gear.

Jean Kirstein is a graduate of the 104th Cadet Corps, among whom he ranked the 6th best. Jean hails from Wall Rose's Trost District, and joined the military with hopes of living a peaceful life within the walls as part of the Military Police Regiment, but he eventually joined the Scout Regiment.
