They are too late and pursue Zyani over the border wall into the United States, despite having no legal authority to do so. After pursuing Zyani and his cartel escorts through a residential neighborhood they are cornered by local authorities outside the cartel safehouse and ambushed by cartel members. Rudy and Alejandro survive the ambush and Rudy moves forward to clear the safehouse. After neutralizing several cartel gunmen Rudy is ambushed again by Zyani's escorts and left to die after being taunted by Zyani and the house lit ablaze.
