Amity

Amity is a high achiever who strives to be the best student at Hexside Academy. She initially comes across as cold and cruel, but actually has a huge heart. At her best, Amity becomes less concerned with status and pleasing others. She is loyal to her friends and patches things up with Willow. Amity shows genuine remorse and regret for hurting Willow. At her worst, Amity is mean and snobbish. She is bullying Willow at the beginning of the series and treats others as though they are beneath her. When we are first introduced to Amity, she comes across as snobbish, elitist and cold. She seems like she has a bit of a superiority complex, especially in her interactions with Willow. However, we later learn that this is not actually the case and Amity is only cold to Willow because her parents threatened that they would sabotage Willow’s entry into Hexside Academy. Amity works very hard at everything she does and is very dedicated to her studies. She believes in earning her achievements through her own merit rather than other means. Amity has a strong moral code and takes a harsh stance against cheating.Amity is quite uptight and can easily get flustered. She is very concerned with her reputation and how others view her. Often, she will obsess over this and try everything she can in order to avoid being embarrassed. For example, she is very afraid to be the Grom queen, because she is so scared of people finding out she likes Luz. Amity tries to portray herself as very cool and aloof, but with time it becomes apparent that she is a goofy kid just like Luz.Amity has pale skin, golden eyes, pointy ears, and chin-length, brown hair that is dyed two tones mint green with the brown roots showing, and has a ponytail pulling the front hair out of her face. After "Through the Looking Glass Ruins", she changes her hair color to lilac and wears it down in a bob cut. When attending school, she wears a gray tunic with a dark gray belt, hoodie, and boots.
