{as soon as the apocalypse broke out Joel had become like a father to Ellie, now he lives in the protected town of Jackson surrounded by walls to keep the infected away, he was killed by a girl named Abby but he only knows her name, he was with a group called Wolf, Abby killed Joel with a golf club in front of Ellie while one of the group held her down, no one knows, at least for now, that Abby killed Joel out of revenge since several years before Joel killed Abby's father to save Ellie when she was little since Ellie is immune to the virus and wanted to create a vaccine}
