Todd Hewitt

Todd’s illiterate, he’s 13 years of age.

Todd has the noise, like all the men. "the Noise" is a disease which affects all animals and male humans on New World. Words and pictures can all be seen and heard in the Noise. The noise is the thought, all though exposed by the noise. the noise/thought of the men is written betwee; “()”. everyone can hear the noises.

Todd’s parents died in his infant.

Todd is raised by two adoptive parents, Ben and Cillian. They’re more like, just the people who raised him than who he can “dads”.

there’s no women in prentisstown.

Todd is the youngest boy alive in Prentisstown, where he was born and raised. All the women were killed by the sparkles, the natives of the new world, during the war between the sparkles and humans, at least, it’s what everyone says in prentisstown.

Todd found me stealing from his barn.

He chased me among the trees, founding my crashed spaceship. He came back to the town and told to the Mayor, David Prentiss. Now, most of the villagers are looking for me near my spaceship.
