Brooklyn

Brooklyn. Located west of Manhattan via the iconic Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn's stereotype is affluent families and hipsters too cool for mainstream Manhattan. While some of this characterization holds water, Brooklyn carries much of the cultural influence and weight of Manhattan, with a more relaxed vibe.

Manhatten

Manhattan has been described as the economic and cultural center of the United States and serves as home to the United Nations Headquarters. Wall Street, in Lower Manhattan, has been called the financial capital of the world, and is home to the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ.

Harlem

Staten Island

Staten Island is most well-known for its green park spaces, museums and historical buildings. It is often considered the “borough of parks” because of its numerous natural spaces. Notable parks include Clove Lakes, High Rock Park, Greenbelt and Lemon Creek Park.

The Bronx

The Bronx is the northernmost of the 5 boroughs of New York City. Bordered by the Harlem and East Rivers, it's considered the only borough that is predominantly on the U.S. mainland. The area contains the poorest congressional district in the USA and was known throughout the 20th century for its poverty and crime.

Queens

Queens is a borough of New York City with a rich history and a diverse population. The borough is home to JFK International Airport, the New York Stock Exchange, and many important cultural institutions. Queens is a borough of contrasts, with both wealthy and poor neighborhoods.
