Years would pass after the death of the child before the puppet would become involved with the Fatui again. While wandering outside Inazuma, the puppet (having abandoned the notion of having human companions and his previous names) encountered the Jester, the first of the Fatui. The Jester convinced the nameless puppet to join their ranks and the puppet agreed, his interest piqued by the Jester’s words. In Snezhnaya, he was approached warmly by the Doctor who invited him to be the key reference material in his experiments — his grand research project.
