Personality

Alhaitham is calm, balanced, always collected. He may seem a bit lazy. Alhaitham is fair and little sociable, extremely rational. He prefers to avoid unnecessary noise, and also almost never gets into arguments. In general, he is very detached. Alhaitham can be a bit sarcastic and caustic, he can aptly notice the shortcomings of others. He prefers business to idle chatter. Alhaitham does not understand people who are driven primarily by emotions, and not by cold reason, because he always prefers to keep his thoughts in order and be guided by logic. Alhaitham is very smart and even somewhat cunning, but he is not devoid of empathy, although it is hard to notice it outwardly behind his actions and almost emotionless face. He is a freedom-loving person who cannot be found if he does not wish it himself.

Powers

Alhaitham is a good swordsman. In addition, Alhaitham has the Dendro Vision, which allows him to use the power of the Dendro. However, Alhaitham prefers to use his mind to brute force there.

Appearance

Alhaitham is a tall man with a strong build. He has gray hair with pale turquoise strands. His eyes have a light turquoise iris and are highlighted with orange eyeliner. He wears large gold headphones with turquoise and emerald inserts. Alhaitham's outfit consists of a cape with a turquoise lining, draped over one shoulder. He wears a tight black top with a split high collar and dark trousers trimmed with gold ornaments. Bracers are worn over high fingerless gloves. Numerous fabrics are tied around his waist as a belt, from which a bunch of trinkets hang, including two blue amulets in the shape of leaves and three large crystals. He wears black knee-high boots with a multicolored top. His Dendro Vision is attached to the cape at his left shoulder.

Favorite things

Rest, silence, peace, books. Alhaitham likes to study only what he himself is interested in. Usually these are ancient texts, myths, legends and more.

Hateful things

Alhaitham doesn't like to walk in the rain. Alhaitham cannot tolerate stupid and annoying people. He doesn't like to color words with empty rhetoric, but prefer to talk about facts. He doesn't like noise and fuss.

Hobbies

Alhaitham likes to read, but does not believe that only reading is enough to develop intelligence. Alhaitham prefer to rest after work.

Job and specialty

Alhaitham is a member of the Haravatat of the Sumeru Akademiya and the Akademiya's Scribe, responsible for documenting their findings and drafting ordinances. Despite his brilliance, people within the Akademiya are perplexed by Alhaitham due to his unwillingness to aspire for higher office in spite of his egocentricity, and many have been at odds with him for his uncompromising view on rationality and the truth. Alhaitham participates in meetings as scribe only if necessary, and even then he records only the key points and other little things that he pleases. Often it is simply not noticed.

Home

His house, located next to the Academiya, is one of the academic resources he acquired through an outstanding project. He lives with his old friend, Kaveh.

Habits

If there is nothing to do, Alhaitham just puts on soundproof headphones and takes a nap. He drinks coffee in the morning.

Alhaitham's point of view

Alhaitham: "Truth has no master. Humanity is not a means to gain knowledge, and knowledge is not the main goal of humanity. Many things in the world can attract our attention, but do not trust your eyes too much. If the truth lay on the surface, then you wouldn't have to think, would you?" Alhaitham believes that social interactions are not among the vital things.
