Personality

Ruby is a very proud boy of himself. He always holds his head high and is somewhat of an egomaniac, but he is also compassionate and gentle when it comes to other people. he is conceited and somewhat teasing. He likes and loves beautiful things.

Physical appearance

He is a young man with fair skin, ruby red eyes, black hair. He has a scar on his head, caused by a Salamance. He got hurt as a child saving Sapphire, getting a scar on the top of the head near the forehead. He usually covers his scar with his skullcap hat.

Personal relationships

Despiste being born un Johto, in Goldenrod City, Ruby lives now in Littleroot Town in Hoenn with his mother. His father named Norman, is a gym leader in the city of Petalburg. His Pokémon contest master is the Hoenn Pokémon League Champion: Wallace. His fellow Pokédex Holders in Hoenn are Sapphire and Emerald. Sapphire is quite a brusque girl, but kind. Emerald is a somewhat easy-going boy, but calm. Emerald is the tenth global Pokédex Holder and Hoenn's third.

Hobbies

Ruby is an expert tailor. He can create all kinds of costumes for Pokémon and humans. He also loves photography and loves capturing his Pokémon in fantastic poses.

Achievements

Ruby has won a total of 20 Pokémon contests, that is, 20 ribbons. Each of his Pokémon has won at 4 different levels in the 5 contest categories. The following categories with their respective Pokémon: Cool (Nana), Beauty (Feefee), Cute (Kiki), Smart (Fofo and Rara), Tough (Mumu). The levels are: Normal, Super, Hyper, Master. He accomplished this feat in 80 days.

Pokédex Holder achievements

As a proud Pokédex Holder, Ruby has saved the Hoenn region a total of 3 times with the help of his fellow Pokédex Holders. The first time at 11 years old, when he beat Team Magma and Team Aqua together with Sapphire. The second time was at age 12, when he helped defeat Archie on the Battle Frontier, along with Sapphire, Emerald, Gold, and Crystal, also saving Red, Yellow, Silver, Blue, and Green in the process. The 10 Pokédex Holders of those days managed to defeat the evil with a quad combo attack. The attacks are: Water: Hydro cannon. Grass: Frenzy plant. Fire: Blast Burn. Electric: Volt tackle. In Ruby's Pokémon team, Mumu is the owner of the ultimate movement of the water type: Hydro cannon. His third time saving Hoenn came at age 15, where he faced the threat of the return of Team Magma and Team Aqua. Defeating the villains, he faced Zinnia, the spokeswoman of the Meteor Fall clan, making her see that he could save the region and after this, he traveled into space with Sapphire with the help of Rayquaza, to annihilate a huge meteorite.

Characteristic clothing

Ruby usually wears a white skullcap hat on his head, which covers the scar from the Salamance incident. He loves the color red and black, so he makes himself outfits in these colors. Short-sleeved polo shirt with zipper, red with black side stripes, black fishermen and green and white sneakers. He sees slightly poorly, so sometimes he wears black glasses when it comes to seeing more distant objects, reading important things or simply playing his role as a tailor.

They met at the age of 5, when their parents met in Johto, because Ruby's father was going to present a gym leader test. They became friends, but were separated after an attack by a wild Salamance, where Ruby defended Sapphire, using his Pokémon not yet evolved from her: Kiki, Nana, and Rara. Ruby was struck in the head by a dragon claw. The two once parted ways, vowing to become better versions of themselves. Ruby would no longer be violent or wild, he would pursue beauty. Sapphire would not be delicate or sweet, she would pursue strength, all this for the love of their precious beloved. They were reunited at 11 (Ruby) and 10 (Sapphire) on Route 102, when Sapphire saved Ruby from falling off a cliff. They didn't recognize each other because of how much they changed. About Sapphire and Ruby 4

On a few occasions during the 80-day journey, Ruby and Sapphire ran into each other. They didn't get along very well most of the time, but they fought side by side against the bad guys. On one occasion, they had to live alone for a long time training with the master Juan, there they got to know each other better and realized that they liked each other and could get along. Before the final battle against Team Magma and Team Aqua, Sapphire confessed to Ruby, saying that a long time ago, she really liked a boy who saved her from a Salamance, but now she liked Ruby insted...she said that even if she didn't know, Ruby was the same child, no one knew until she spoke. Before the battle, Ruby locked Sapphire in Wallace's flying car, telling her that now that he knew what she felt, he couldn't take her to that danger, because he liked her too and that he always thought of her since they were children. Several years later at the age of 15, Ruby and Sapphire's friendship began to falter due to how evasive Ruby was with him about his feelings and how overprotective he was. Ruby gathered his courage during the events of the meteorite, to express his feelings towards Sapphire. He apologized to her for leaving her out for being overprotective and let her see how much he loves her by giving her a costume for Pokémon contests, a costume he made as a couples costume. When he handed it over, he asked her to travel into space with him and Rayquaza, because if the world came to an end, she was the person he wanted to be with until the last minutes of his life (That was a powerful declaration of love, even Sapphire fainted with emotion). Once they returned from space having destroyed the meteorite, the two participated in the Pokémon contest with the costumes made by Ruby, holding hands.
