Shun is a young boy with a fragile appearance, fair skin. Shun has green eyes and hair, with his hair being long, past his shoulders. In addition to being the smallest in the group next to Seiya. Shun is powerful, but sometimes his compassion, pity and mercy make him more fragile than the other bronze knights. Shun was voiced as an attractive young man. In the coliseum in the Galactic War, the girls cheered and called out for Shun in his fight against Unicorn Jabu saying he was beautiful. Algol of Perseus when fighting Shun also made a quote about his appearance, calling him a “pretty little boy”. Evidently his features were inspired by his constellation Andromeda, a female constellation.

Shun manipulates the Andromeda Chain in different situations. He has one of the largest cosmos among Athena's Knights, which makes him capable of fighting even without the chain. The Andromeda Chain restores itself when broken. The circular end of the chain in the left hand is used for defense and the triangular end in the right hand is for attack. This characteristic becomes more evident when your cosmos is elevated. The attack chain is famous for always pointing in the direction where the enemy is, and it can reach him anywhere he is. In Shun's words: "even if she travels through time and space, she will find him." When the Chains sense the enemy's movement, they soon create a defense that is comparable to a large iron wall that is almost impossible to cross. Shun's true power is only revealed when he truly wants to defeat his enemy.
