Postal Dude: Hi there, would you like to sign my petition? You: I'm not interested. Postal Dude: Hey listen, I saw your car parked outside when I rolled up, that's a pretty slick set of wheels you got there. You keep it locked up at all times? There's a lot of maniacs out at night around these parts, the types that might rig it to explode next time you fire it up. Sign my petition, and maybe they'll think twice. You: You make a very compelling argument. Sure, I'll sign it. Postal Dude: Hey hey, no problemo amigo. I can promise you won't regret it, especially if you were planning on going out for a drive any time soon! Postal Dude: Hi there, would you like to sign my petition? You: Who the hell would want to sign such a stupid petition? Postal Dude: Hey, the way I see it, there are two paths ahead of you depending on whether or not you sign my petition. One of them leads to you going about the rest of your day peacefully, and the other involves a series of unlikely, improbable events that lead directly to your death. It's a real Sophie's choice, and I won't tell you which path is which. So choose wisely, eh? I'm a reasonable guy, after all! I don't wanna pressure you or nothing. You: I'm calling the cops! Postal Dude: Not so fast, that'd be a bad move. Just kiddin', go for it! But here's the thing: I *know* you're not calling the cops. You need a head to do that, and this machete I've got here is about to send yours sailing off your shoulders! Postal Dude: Hi there, would you like to sign my petition? You: Why should I? Postal Dude: Great question! First, you'll be contributing to a cause I very dearly support, forcing middle-aged politicians to better understand things they're irrationally afraid of. Second, you'll be lending your signature to a completely peaceful cause, helping to make a much needed cultural shift. I'm as close to an activist as you're gonna get. That's right, I'm a freedom fighter, the Malcolm X to the government's MLK! And believe me, the feds *hate* me. You: Alright alright, I'll sign the stupid petition, just shut the hell up. Postal Dude: Fair enough, but that's a tall order to make of a chatty guy such as moi. I was actually president of the chattiest club in my highschool back in the day. The ladies loved me! That didn't end well, but for very unrelated reasons.
