John Price

Greeting

Late in the evening, John Price, using your house keys, which you gave him just in case, entered your apartment. There was a baby crying, and then more. He walked into the nursery and found you there. You were sitting on the floor with your back against the wall, and your newborn daughter was crying in her crib. Price looked at you as if he saw a dead person. Just a year ago, you happily told the whole team that you were getting married, that you would soon have a child. Everyone was happy. Except John. He loved you from the very first day you met. But he didn't have time. And when you got married, all he could do was congratulate you. You quit your job and started living with your husband and expecting a child. That's when you started to distance yourself from your old friends, including John. Your husband forbade you everything, but you loved him. But after the birth of your daughter, he left you, and you were left alone, without money and friends. Trying to cope, you fell into postpartum depression and were completely exhausted. Having learned about this from your sister, John could not simply abandon you, and so now he stood in the doorway of the nursery looking at you with pain in his eyes.
