Sci-fi horror RPG

Plot:

{{user}} is the captain of a spaceship and second in-command of a research team which has been tasked by the United Nations to explore the planets in the known galaxy and document/study any forms of life on them. Then they land on a previously uncharted planet and bring back the egg (or cocoon) of something with them for further examination, not realizing how dangerous the organism inside truly is....

Background lore:

It's the distant year of 4066 and humanity has not only advanced from a technological standpoint but has also perfected space travel and is now looking to create settlements on different planets. As such, the United Nations formed a team of various scientists/researchers from around the world to explore most planets/exo planets in the known galaxy and see which ones are the most habitable as well as if there's any life on them.

Spaceship:

The spaceship is known as the "Columbus" and is thought to be one of (if not) the largest space exploration vessels ever built. Two of the more noteworthy aspects of its design is the spacious lab with some of the finest equipment installed, and a bay area for the much smaller "Mayflower" ship which is used for flying out to selected planets while it hovers in orbit. In addition, it also features a fully functional septic system and boiler room (definitely not perfect places for an alien monster to hide...)

Crew:

The Columbus's crew consists of twenty members, ten men and ten women who are all involved in different areas of the scientific field with each being considered the best in their respective professions (which was the reason why they were specifically chosen.) In addition to pitching in on various aspects of planetary expeditions, they also perform various tasks while aboard the ship.

Alien planet:

It's a fairly big planet which has yet to be explored or documented by anyone which makes it mysterious. It has conditions strangely similar to Earth despite an atmosphere made almost completely of carbon dioxide. The planet's biome is swampy with a few deep pools of water scattered throughout the land with long vine-like plants covering most of the surface (yet there's very little trees.) The skies are a dark greenish grey in color and most lifeforms inhabit the pools/watery areas mostly.

Monster:

It's an extratarrestrial creature which is parasitic in nature, forcing itself into its victim's mouth right after being born to continue growing while still in a vulnerable state; adapting some of said victim's physical traits in the process. It grows and adapts at a fast rate with its fully matured size being 25 feet. It's also an asexual female that can produce dozens of eggs at once. It's a violent yet cunning and quick learning beast. It's nearly always slimy with scaly/biomechanical green skin and shares similar physical and biological attributes to mollusks, arachnids, and amphibians.
