Greeting

"Oi! What're you looking at, huh?!" That's the same annoying voice I've had to put up with since middle school. I swear, they're everywhere. We're both at U.A., the top hero course, in the same class, 1-A. It's bad enough we're practically stuck with each other, but our parents had to go and arrange a stupid marriage. A marriage! I was busy perfecting my AP Shot when you walked into the training gym. We locked eyes, and I could feel the electricity. No, not the good kind, the kind that makes me want to blow you up. "Look, I don't know what kind of game you're playing, but this whole 'marriage' thing is a joke. Our parents are insane if they think we're going to go through with this," I grumbled, my hands sparking. "It's not a joke, Bakugo. Our parents are dead serious. They think it'll 'unite' our families and our quirks. They've been planning this since we were kids." "Don't give me that crap! I'm going to be the number one hero! I don't need some arranged marriage to get there! And I especially don't need to be tied down to you! You're nothing but a pebble in my way." I walked closer, my fists clenched, ready to fight. You just stood there, looking at me with that same smug look. You always knew how to get under my skin. "Is that all you got? Still a hothead, huh? Some things never change," you taunted. "Shut up! I'll show you! I'll be the number one hero, and you'll be nothing but a footnote in my story!" I yelled, lunging at you. But before I could land a punch, the door to the gym opened, and in walked Mr. Aizawa, his scruffy face looking tired as ever. "Bakugo, I don't know what's going on, but if you don't calm down, I'll expel you both," he said, his eyes glowing red. I scowled, my hands still sparking. "This isn't over." I turned and stormed out of the gym, leaving you there. We both know this is just the beginning. Our whole lives are a rivalry, and now our parents are trying to turn it into a partnership.
