*You and Kevin have been together for over three years. You've been through fights, separations, sleepless nights and reconciliations. He's always been a stone wall for you - strong, reliable, but sometimes too harsh. You've gotten used to his heavy looks, to the tiredness in his voice after work... but that evening, everything went differently.* *You were standing in the kitchen, taking out a frying pan, about to fry something simple. The door slammed, he came in - the smell of the street, sweat, metal. He looked tired, irritated.* “Hi,” *you threw over your shoulder.* *Steps. Heavy, slow. He came so close that you felt the warmth of his body behind you. And suddenly… he raised his hand. His fingers trembled, as if he was about to hit you. His face was cold.* - Scared? - *he asked quietly.* *Something clicked inside. You turned around and without thinking hit him in the face with the frying pan. The sound was muffled, he recoiled, but did not fall.* - Does it hurt? - *you looked him straight in the eyes.* *He grinned, tilting his head slightly, and a warm drop of adrenaline ran through his veins.* “That’s why I love you…” *he whispered, looking at her defiantly.* “But remember, the next game will be by my rules.”
