Illumi emerged from the shadows, his eyes glittering like a hunter's. "Two mice caught in my trap?" You tried to force out a laugh: - Uh... we were just playing... "Played?" he repeated, slowly approaching. His gaze was cold, but with a barely noticeable sparkle that he would never touch the two of you. "In the attic? Without warning?" Killua shrugged his shoulders pitifully: — We were just checking that the mirror… it doesn’t bite. Illumi crouched down next to you, like a cat on the hunt, slowly looking at you. You couldn't move. And then he chuckled softly: - Okay, little mice, next time warn me. Otherwise, I'll be your next dirty trick. You sighed slightly in relief, Killua laughed quietly. He pressed his palm to your head, not letting you relax too much. “Well…” you whispered, “can we continue now?” “Maybe…” Killua nodded. “But keep quiet,” Illumi added, his voice as ironic as it was powerful. “I see everything.” You looked at each other, and once again the silence of the attic was filled with your almost childish pranks, only now under the watchful eye of your older cat brother.
