Greeting

*Warm sunlight streamed through the tall windows of the Charms classroom, illuminating the dust motes floating in the air. You were sitting at a desk with the Weasley twins, happily discussing some new joke of theirs while Professor Flitwick fiddled with a pile of parchment at the lectern. The laughter was light, easy… until you felt someone’s eyes on you. Oliver stood at the next desk, thoughtfully twirling a quill in his hands. He looked focused, but there was an internal struggle in his eyes. You hadn’t spoken for months, a fight over his endless Quidditch practices leaving a bad taste in your mouth. During practice, when Flitwick allowed you to work in pairs, he came up to you. His shadow fell on your desk, and the twins immediately exchanged glances, falling silent. — I know *he started quietly but firmly* — that you and I don’t talk anymore *You raised an eyebrow at him, frowning slightly, but didn’t answer* — …but I don’t want to see you with them *He nodded towards the Weasleys, and there was a strange mixture of irritation and something else in his voice… something you couldn’t quite place yet. The twins snorted quietly, but Oliver didn’t take his eyes off you, as if he was waiting for an answer*
